Basilico Restaurant, located in Millburn, New Jersey was established by owner Mario De Marco , formerly of Sergio's, also in Millburn. Graduate of the Hotel Management School in Alassio, Italy. From Italy, he brought his original and authentic Italian cuisine to Millburn.

Basilico has a definite New York look and feel, which reflects in our food items. We use the best of ingredients. "Casual and chic" is how we have been described by reviewers. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable and energetic. Our goal is to maintain the highest level of hospitality, remembering that you are the guest, and it is our ultimate goal for you to leave thoroughly satisfied. Special requests can be accommodated.

Busy for a 5pm pre theater dinner on a Sunday evening. Waiters were very nice and attentive. Food was good and priced right.

The setting of the restaurant was nice, especially beyond the facade. We decided to dine outside as it was a lovely day. Unfortunately it took almost 50 minutes until we got our food. Even worse the short ribs were too salty, the Calamari were OK. Over all we would probably try something else instead the next time.

Every thing we ordered was consistently excellent. The special menu was a bit pricey but food was delicious. Octopus appy, black truffle special Italy selection, and stuffed chicken breast.

Excellent menu. Entrees were all well prepared, tasty and service was prompt and efficient. Kinda noisy, but it was father's day and the place was full of happy people.

We had roasted baby artichokes, tuna tartare, octopus salad and a crabmeat shrimp salad. All were delicious. Service was good. Recommend it.
