Le Barrel & Crow vous invite à découvrir une approche contemporaine de la cuisine régionale. Le restaurant, sous la conduite du chef, se fonde uniquement sur des produits et des protéines d'origine locale. Le chef Pedro Matamoros utilise ces ingrédients de saison pour élaborer une cuisine raffinée et réconfortante. Des pâtes faites maison et de la charcuterie sont proposées tous les soirs. Le chef se fera toujours un devoir de modifier des éléments du menu pour les adapter à un régime alimentaire particulier. Régime sans gluten, végétarien, végétalien et allergies aux produits laitiers ne poseront aucun problème. La carte des desserts du chef pâtissier Rita Garruba comporte une sélection de desserts traditionnels agrémentés d'une touche contemporaine. La carte des vins éclectique met l'accent sur les vins de caractère, issus de petites productions. Still good after all these years. We were there on a Saturday night, and it was busy. Still the service was pretty slow, one person's steak arrived well done - returned it to get rare, which was good. Like many places, the appetizers are better than the entrees (loved the fried green tomatoes!) , even though the entrees were very good.. It took an inordinately long time to get dessert. We were able to site beside the large open window, because the patio was full, but the window seat was good. Overall, this was a good experience.

It had been years since I'd eaten at Barrel and Crow and it didn't disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious and I enjoyed my spicy peach margarita. The pork chop was yummy, as was the strawberry-rhubarb crisp dessert. The service was uneven - we got our drink order taken right away and got the drinks in due time, but we waited a very long time to get our food order taken, and I had to flag down the server, which is never a good thing. Upper Downtown Bethesda doesn't get the attention it deserves. It's much more charming and has a better energy than Bethesda Row with a lot more local shops and diverse restaurants. Plenty of parking too.

I've never been disappointed with the food or service at Barrel and Crow. And every time that I've introduced a new friend to the restaurant, they've left satisfied as well. My favorite dishes are probably the duck, gumbo, shrimp and grits, and pork chop, in no soecific order. ;)

Lilyrose was such an attentive, knowledgeable and kind server. She made the dining experience for us. Great service from her. Will definitely be back. Pork chop and grits were very good as were the crab beignets. Nice selection on the menu.

Overall, good meal but nothing special. The crab appetizer was the best part of the whole meal. The food was all good but nothing too stand out. The restaurant is very cute - love the design and look. Server was nice.

I've been to this restaurant several times and the food and service is always on point. This time, however, both were off. My friend and I waited more than an hour for our lunch and the food was serviceable but not stellar. On top of that, our server never came over to reassure us or explain why our orders were delayed; in fact I had to ask. The manager came over to apologize and never offered to comp the meal, which would have been the right thing to do. It will be a while before I return. Not sure if this was an off-day or an overall decline at this place.

We went to brunch at 1230 on Sunday. We were able to park on the street one block away. We were quickly seated and provided with water and two baguettes. We asked for crab balls, but although having only been only open 90 minutes, we were told they had run out. Overall, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable of menu, and offered great suggestions. The place was full at 1230, but did not seem too loud. We ordered an appetizer of Fried Green tomatoes. Our entries were Eggs Benedict and blueberry pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs. The portions were sized very well, the food was warm and tasty. We were both full after the meal and a portion of the home fries were take home. Pricing was reasonable. Overall, it was an enjoyable Sunday brunch. We plan to go again.

I cannot say enough about the staff at this restaurant! So attentive and accommodating. Thanks to their efforts our large group was able to sit outside at a delightful table. We had a variety of dietary restrictions and preferences and the thoughtful menu made it easy for everyone to find something they liked. Loved the swordfish and the strawberry rhubarb crisp!

Meet friends for dinner. Cocktails were pretty good but that's where it stopped. We ordered 3 appetizers and 3 entrées; all of which were bad except the calamari.
