Barbuzzo est un restaurant et bar méditerranéen situé dans le quartier branché de Midtown Village au centre-ville. On y sert des petits plats à partager. Muni d'un four à bois pour les pizzas et la cuisson lente, le Barbuzzo propose un menu sur lequel figure des plats rustiques tels que la pieuvre grillée avec des pommes de terre, des poivrons grillés avec soppressata, des raviolis de panais avec du canard mijoté et des poires rôties et la « Pizza Uovo » garnie de feuilles de choux de Bruxelles, de jambon guanciale et d'un œuf fermier à la truffe. Le prix des plats varie entre 3 USD et 32 USD. Barbuzzo dispose d'un bar disposant d'une variété de vins méditerranéens, de bières artisanales et de cocktails variés. Le restaurant est muni d'un bar et d'un comptoir aux abords de la cuisine auxquels peuvent prendre place les clients n'ayant pas de réservation.

We love Barbuzzo! Stephanie, our server was absolutely wonderful, attentive, professional and saw that we were out in a timely fashion given we were going to see DMB! We had the Panzanella salad, roasted beet salad, whipped ricotta, grilled octopus, and margherita pizza. It was all delicious, one dish tastier than the next. Great vibes in this place! Everything was amazing from start to finish---oh, and the grapefruit paloma mocktail was very good! We will be back again and again!

A fantastic meal at Barbuzzo, as expected. It was unusually quiet inside for prime time on a Friday night, but perhaps that's because the weather was finally great so people were opting to sit outside. I didn't realize that the happy hour menu was only available at the bar and outside, but when my server informed me, she kindly allowed me to shift over to an available bar seat so that I could take advantage of the deal, which had the ricotta and grilled bread appetizer--one of my favorite dishes anywhere--at half price! Then I had the Mais pizza, which was incredible, as anticipated. The service at the bar was impeccable--both the bartender and the staff member also often back there were attentive without hovering, and kind and helpful. I mentioned to the bartender my great regret that Barbuzzo doesn't have the Sanguinello cocktail anymore, and he generously offered to make me something as close to what my memory would allow me to describe. (Please bring that back!!! It was one of my favorite cocktails anywhere!) The bartender was great, too, about boxes for leftovers and a budino to go. A great experience overall at one of my favorite Philly restaurants.

Wonderful dinner. We were 4 people. We ordered a mix of appetizers and a few mains. The whipped ricotta spread with toasted herb bread was among my favorites. My branzino was excellent as were the pasta dishes my companions ordered. The budino(?) dessert is to die for. Lovely unpretentious service and friendly restaurant vibe. Prices seemed reasonable, too.

Excellent dinner. Good service, excellent food. The only problem was that the restaurant is too noisy. I was having difficulty hearing my friend from across a small table. Otherwise, I definitely recommend Barbuzzo.

Check out the pizza part of the menu. Honestly, we had the best tasting pizza of my life . . . and I'm from NYC and have traveled to Italy. The pizza options change daily but you can't go wrong. And the craft beer recommended by the waiter went down so smooothly. By dinner's end, we were too full to try to budino, the prize dessert. That's a reason to return to Philadelphia.
