Célébrant sa 108ème année d'ouverture, le Barbetta Restaurant est le plus ancien restaurant de New York toujours détenu par la famille fondatrice. Le Barbetta est aussi le plus ancien restaurant italien de New York et le plus ancien du quartier des théâtres. Cette triple distinction lui a valu la récompense du Locali Storici d'Italia. Dans un intérieur brillant décoré avec des antiquités italiennes du XVIIIe siècle, le Barbetta sert une cuisine du Piémont, la région italienne le plus au nord-ouest. En été, son jardin incroyablement verdoyant avec ses arbres centenaires et parfumé de fleurs de glycines, de lauriers roses, de jasmin et de gardénia en font l'un des endroits les plus prisés pour les repas en plein air.

Eduardo was the best and his eloquence of story telling on the history of Barbetta was exceptional. Great food, amazing garden.

we have eaten here before but this time it was very disappointing. The food was very mediocre. The antipasti was an insult for an Italian, the main course was very simple. The wines tasted good. In the end we got an unclear bill where we got the feeling that it was not right. too bad!

Perfect place for a"pre-Broadway" dinner. Food is fabulous, the setting of in the courtyard was peaceful and perfect. I would definitely go again!

We chose Barbetta at the last minute for a pre-theatre dinner. We were so overwhelmingly pleased with the ambience in the garden patio within the heat of the theatre district. Ramon and the staff were excellent and they surprised us with an amazing dessert for our 25th anniversary. The food was delicious. We absolutely loved the experience and would recommend this to anyone looking for fine dining in a tranquil outdoor setting. Thank you Ramon for the incredible memories.

Food was very good and in reasonable, that is- not too large portions so you can easily do a prixfixe menu or a la carte. Service was very good and helpful. Dining room is a bit dated but not a serious defect.

Unfortunately this restaurant needs to close down. The decor, menu and bathrooms all need to be redone. The staff try very hard to make the experience good and are kind but you feel sorry for them. Don’t go here

We booked a pre theater dinner at Barbetta for our anniversary, the host Eduardo was the most gracious, welcoming person and made the experience that much more enjoyable. The food was excellent, the ambiance was perfect, and the surprise anniversary dessert was an incredible addition! We would definitely go again!

We dined in the garden and highly recommend this beautiful place. Dined before a show. Service was outstanding. Old world charm. Decor appears to be original which adds to the charm. Food was terrific too. We had beef ribs which were quite tender. Restaurant remembered sister’s birthday as well and brought a delicious chocolate tort on the house Hard to believe you’re near Times Square while in this peaceful and quiet place. A+
