                                          Mitchell was such a great server and all the staff was lovely! Food and experience was outstanding. Highly recommend.

                                          Food was great when each dish finally arrived. Great that the restaurant helps course out the dinner so you get the best food experience BUT not great when each dish takes 45 mins to arrive. 3.5 hour dinner for 3 tapa plates plus dessert!! We were starving waiting for each dish. We had to flag down our waitstaff over and over for our next dish. Advise for the restaurant- 1) don’t wait until the customer finishes each dish before starting to cook the next dish. Not all customers finish each dish completely so you can’t use that a your visual que to start cooking the next dish. Plus, your waitstaff isn’t check on the customer and seems to have forgotten us until we flagged them down each and every time. 2) Provide servicing utensils with each dish so we don’t have to use our used fork we’ve been putting in our mouth. Just because the food is family style doesn’t mean we want are family and share germs. 3) waitstaff needs to keep an eye on their tables. Impossible to flag our waitstaff because he never looked up or over. I felt like I was at a soft opening instead of an established restaurant. Food was good when it finally arrived…luckily the food came out warmish.

                                          Great vibe and delicious food. We are going back next week fora different experience-their cheeseburgers. Everything we consumed was delightful, creative and crafted with care. Wonderful service and a fun night out.

                                          Lived up to the reviews and pictures. A little off the beaten track and oh so good. Tri-tip was fantastic. Stone fruit salad was excellent—the nectarines were perfectly ripe. Even the sourdough bread and butter was top quality. Simple food from high quality ingredients. Will definitely will be back.

                                          My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at Barbareno last night. This is her review:Bright and refreshing local heirloom tomatoes layered with smokey, herby flavors. The most succulent Santa Maria TriTip with the perfect oak BBQ char paired with an elevated version of the classic garlic bread made in-house with 11-year-old sourdough starter and perfectly seasoned pinquito beans. The whole dish was an elevated modern version of my most favorite memories of TriTip on the grill growing up in Santa Barbara. Paired beautifully with a lovely Nebbiolo from Idlewild Wines. Finished with a wildly creative and delicious “Baked California” - Unexpected and unique flavors that were surprisingly harmonious. All enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. It is clear that they carefully thought through every detail, down to the carved block of wood that delivers the check. Beyond impressed! This is a not-to-be-missed local experience in Santa Barbara

                                          Really good all around. A bit over seasoned on the black garlic ponzu on the avocados and the pickle was too salty on the tomatoes in the wonderful tomato dish. Everything else was great especially the mussels and the local sea bass platter. I look forward to making it back there soon.
