I absolutely hate to leave this review….BofA is our “go to spot” whenever we visit Truckee. We love it because it’s so friendly and welcoming. The food is awesome. And I love the atmosphere. And everything today was great however our waiter wasn’t the best. Yes he was rushed. But he barely acknowledged we existed — didn’t check on her food once it arrived. When I ask questions he would answer while walking away. Very rushed. And on top of that my drinks didn’t arrive before the food so I could enjoy. It was delivered after my appetizers arrived and that’s OK. But it would’ve been nice for him to acknowledge the delay. There were a couple times where I tried to get his attention and he just simply walked away. Yes I understand he was rushed but everyone else seemed to be doing a nice job of managing the crowd – – from the host to the bus boys to the person who even delivered my food eventually. He was absolutely understanding and actually save the meal in the mood. I wish I knew the waiters name so I could call them out but my guess is you’ll know who he is. Unfortunate because overall the experience was great – – he just needs to be trained better.

Upscale pub grub. Excellent food and service. Reservations helpful. Worth the 15 minute drive from Northstar. A little overpriced, but so is everything in this ski town.

Wow!! Truckee, sitting outside in the sun, great service and food. Dog friendly patio. Only complaint is the train whistle is really loud, but then the train left. Nice size portions and really great service

This is a great mix of an upscale, old-world bar and innovative restaurant in downtown, historic Truckee. The staff are great, food is delicious, and it offers great windows for train and people watching!

When we arrived at 5:00 on a Saturday the restaurant was not busy. Our servers took our order and our food came promptly, however once our food came the only server we saw for almost an hour was the gentleman who was awesome at keeping our water glasses filled. The restaurant filled up and we could see our server bustling around to other tables. Unfortunately, he did not return to ask if we wanted more drinks or dessert. We sat for 1:45 minutes unattended. The next time we saw our server he was placing the bill on our table. We stopped him to ask for dessert menus and he seemed irritated by our request. We ordered dessert which came fairly quickly but again we had to wait a long time for our server. I eventually waved him done and paid the bill. I thought that maybe they were waiting for our table but when we left we didn’t see anyone waiting. Luckily the food was terrific.

We had rib eye steaks with whiskey peppercorn sauce. They were delicious and cooked beautifully! Matt was on top of the service and kept our wine glasses full. It was a good dinner and experience for a mid-week dinner.
