We went for my husband’s birthday and had a fantastic time. The quality of the fish is much higher than the other places we’ve tried since we moved from NYC to Charlotte. Service was great, and they gave us a surprise beignet dessert with a candle for his birthday, without me having to request it. Highly recommend!

The Tomahawk was absolutely amazing. The tapa style dining worked perfectly. & our waitress May was amazing. I will definitely be back!

Had reservations for a Saturday night and were happy to enjoy our drinks and appetizer. Unfortunately after we ordered only then were we notified that the kitchen is backed up and any sushi would be an hour wait. Appreciate the heads up but this type of wait puts quite a damper on the experience. We ended up leaving and going to another restaurant where they were able to accommodate our needs.

We had a lovely fifth anniversary here. Our server Tyler was really fun and helpful. The place had a relaxing atmosphere with good energy. Everything we ate was incredible - recommend the duck and the tofu yakitori highly. Thank you Baku for a great night!

Upstairs was way too loud. Almost every customer had to use their phone flashlight to read them menu.

Thi Thi was a great server and really knew the menu and the food and the specials, and she was pretty new I hope I spelled her name right - she and the food runners and the hostess stand were all super friendly and courteous, they had a lot of hospitality, even though something catastrophically wrong was happening at the Sushi Chef station - we never got a roll that we ordered and the manager was having to help out and the sushi was warm and you could tell maybe somebody didn't show up for work... but everything that came out of the kitchen was superb! And the food runner was super sweet! We had the duck which was some of the best duck I've ever had, we had the chicken, amazing, the calamari was perfectly cooked! You get the feeling the owner or the manager of this place is screwing up because it looks pretty inside but they leave half the LED candles burned out and they skimp on the air conditioning, and it looks as if they are letting the facility deteriorate or just not spend money on its upkeep. O'Ku sushi was sold out this night, but Baku was nearly empty and yet something operationally was going wrong ... but the hot food chefs and our server were outstanding! I would give it another try based on that!

Haven’t been here in a while Calamari use to be bigger. Sushi is fresh I was told the fish is imported from Japan.
