Atlantic’s Edge should be so much better than it actually is. The location is beautiful, with wonderful, relaxing views of the water, and the resort itself is well landscaped and very inviting. But the restaurant needs so much work: 1) watered-down drinks - you are charging $16 for a Negroni or a manhattan, so make them properly and don’t let them sit at the bar to get watered-down. 2) out-of-stock wine list - we ordered a $50 Tempranillo, and (almost 15 minutes later) they arrived to say that bottle was no longer available and then tried to give us a “similar” bottle that cost $110! So we ordered something else, and it was also out of stock. Third try finally worked, but it took close to 1/2 hour! 3) “Okay” food - a dry “poached mahi mahi” and run-of-the-mill Caesar salad. Some of the other food was good, but at their prices, the value is weak. 4) sloooow service - it took ten minutes from seating to get someone to our table. Conclusion: Atlantic’s Edge can, and should be, a top restaurant on Islamorada, but it isn’t. There are much finer options. If management fixes these issues, they can get back into the top ten, but right now they’ve fallen out.

Everything was to our expectation, if not above our expectations. The food was excellent and the wait staff was very professional. They came back and checked on us at the right time, which really makes a difference. Not to much and not to less, right on time. Love the whole experience.

Food was a good, had blackened grouper and wife had the Mahi, service was a bit slow but overall good food and nice location.

For the nicest dining experience offered at the Cheeca Lodge, we expected more. The service and food fell short and were not up to par with the price of the meal and quite frankly, the price of the resort. Although our meals were “good” the mahi wasn’t edible. We asked to box my meal to-go before it was served because I had to leave dinner early. They did not include any silverware or napkins. Minor but important detail, as I had to eat my dinner with my fingers. The overall ambiance was very nice, and it is a beautiful view and setting. I’m hoping our dinners at all of the other resort restaurants will redeem this experience.

Very overpriced for a very mediocre food.. the grouper was very very Bland had absolutely no flavor. The Oysters Rockefeller were good but slightly above average, asked three times for bread and was told it was baking and never got in. The creamed spinach we had did not have any cream in it and it was nasty. Not a great experience. same experience we had 5 years ago when we ate there. Definitely not a place for dinner if you want good food.
