L'Antico Posto (ou « vieil endroit ») est un intime café italien et bar à vin, soigneusement caché au Oakbrook Center Mall. Ce restaurant de quartier jouit d'une atmosphère chaleureuse et invitante combinée à une nourriture réconfortante italienne simple. Our last trip to Antico Posto was disappointing. The revised menu is a pleasant surprise. We shared chicken meatballs (really delish) and fried calamari (also yummy) for appetizers. Dinner entree included the special risotto with sausage, shrimp linguine, porcini ragu gnocchi, and sausage ragu cavettelli. All delicious, though the sausage ragu was too sweet according to the food expert who ordered it. We will be back to be sure it's a permanent improvement. And our server was excellent, so I am sorry I did not ask her name.

Service was great and the food was good. Nice lounge music playing at the right volume. It was very busy, but the timing of the food delivery was excellent

We had a poor experience. The server was neglectful - waited for her to take our drink order, waited a long time for our entrees and she never checked back after our food was brought. We have eaten here a number of times but this was not a great trip.

The outdoor area was very dirty and for the time we were there no one made any attempt to clean it. We had to ask for a clean table after being sat at a dirty table. The glasses were also dirty at the second table. While eating the first course we noticed there was a fruit fly in the oil and vegetable giardiniera and the server basically shrugged it off as normal. The fly was noticed between two courses and our appetite was ruined. The restaurant charged us full price for everything. Even after alerting the hostess that we were unsatisfied management was never brought into the situation.

As always, our meal was delicious. We started with crusty bread, served with olive oil, parmesian cheese and giardinara. Then we enjoyed the pistasio crusted whitefish and the rigatoni in vodka sauce. For dessert we shared the turtle gelato- it was fabulous. Our service was excellent and the ambiance was perfect. The restaurant was busy but not packed and it was not very noisey.

Food very good, portion were a little small. Service was excellent. Drink had too much ice in it.

It had been a long time since we had been to Antico Posto and just as we remembered, the food was outstanding and so was the service. We highly recommend going her for a relaxing time and wonderful food!
