L'Antica Trattoria est un restaurant chaleureux doté d'un sens de l'hospitalité à l'ancienne qui est rapidement devenu un lieu de rassemblement pour les convives de Lake Murray et du reste de San Francisco lorsqu'il a ouvert ses portes en 2001. Pour le chef exécutif et propriétaire Francesco Basile, une bonne cuisine se compose de saveurs authentiques, d'ingrédients frais et de simplicité. Le genre de plats qu'il mangeait dans son enfance sur le littoral de la Sicile et qu'il a appris à cuisinier dans son école culinaire en Italie. Pourquoi manger ordinaire ?     Extremely noisy! Food was okay. I had linguine with seafood. The mussels were empty shells the calamari was rubbery, the tomato sauce flavor was of that special “canned Sysco variety “. For an Italian owned restaurant, I think a little effort in providing fresher ingredients would go a long way. Our server Francesca was very nice. She was the most authentic Italian element in our dining experience!

    We are so happy to have found this place. The food is amazing....finish every bite amazing. It can be a special dinner, or you can just have a casual drink and appetizer. Friendly and efficient service. One little negative is the chairs. Wood is with an open back, which is hard for some people.

    They didn’t not look at the reservation request I made in their comments. I asked not to be sat where I was in a high traffic area and that exactly where they sat us. Waitress was trying to be real fancy when you don’t need to be. Trying way to hard to use Italian words with hand gestures. STOP THAT! It’s really annoying! They sat three tables so close you couldn’t have a conversation with my date.

    Excellent as always. The veal parmigiana was phenomenal and a large potion.

    The food seemed to be prepared well but all of the food went into cold plates/dishes. As a result we had to send back our meatballs since they were just about room temperature when we started to eat them. They reheated the meatballs, melted all of the fresh cheese and then put them back into clean cold plates without any fresh cheese. They did not stay hot! My main entree was the same! The broccolini was cold! They took just the broccolini to reheat and only brought half of it back to me! I think that I had 10 cents worth of broccolini, less than 5 cents of each carrots and zucchini. I have never seen so little vegetables on an entree! They should warm the plates and make eating there a more enjoyable experience!

    Might be the best food I have ever had. Might not be the least expensive but great food and outstanding service.

    Food was excellent but there were delays in food delivery.Im sure it was overwhelming for them during restaurant week.
