L'Antica Trattoria est un restaurant chaleureux doté d'un sens de l'hospitalité à l'ancienne qui est rapidement devenu un lieu de rassemblement pour les convives de Lake Murray et du reste de San Francisco lorsqu'il a ouvert ses portes en 2001. Pour le chef exécutif et propriétaire Francesco Basile, une bonne cuisine se compose de saveurs authentiques, d'ingrédients frais et de simplicité. Le genre de plats qu'il mangeait dans son enfance sur le littoral de la Sicile et qu'il a appris à cuisinier dans son école culinaire en Italie. Pourquoi manger ordinaire ?     I love coming here!! It quickly became my favorite Italian place in San Diego. The pasta is unmatched, always so delicious. You have to try the mussels as well, my partner and I eat every last drop. Service is always outstanding. I don’t remember our server’s name but she has red hair and is just so incredibly nice, professional, and attentive. Thank you for always being a wonderful experience!!

    The food was fantastic! I love their specials. They are always unique and expertly crafted! We had the Swordfish and the Black Squid Pasta. Delicious!

    This is a hidden jewel in an unsuspected place. We had the butternut squash ravioli and it was amazingly delicious. We will definitely come back when visiting La Mesa in San Diego.

    The experience at Antica is very good--the wait staff are charming and knowledgeable making your dining experience feel a bit more than casual in a casual setting. The food is good overall. My fish and risotto were well-prepared, but the pasta dishes were a bit watery (like they didn't cook down the pasta water when transfering the pasta to the pan). Overall, we really enjoy Antica!

    We celebrated a birthday at Antica Trattoria and had a wonderful evening. Each of us were delighted with our food choices. The menu was full of delightfully authentic flavorful Italian cuisine. Not only was the food delicious, the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    Great food… Had the Bronzino fillet special on mashed potato and roasted vegetables with a really good sauce. Attentive service and good menu selection for food and wine. Minor thing: the staff was a bit too eager to clear your table, but not to the point of driving you out.
