I’ve been coming to Anson for years - and it is consistently excellent. Grouper, tuna and scallops were perfectly prepared. Service makes you feel like have just come home. Will be back.

Went here this past weekend for my birthday. The service was beyond amazing! I wish I could remember our waiter's name, he was the best! I started with the tuna crudo, perfectly and delicately balanced. I then ordered my favorite preparation of flounder, whole, scored, fried, with a simple apricot shallot sauce. I have had this at a couple other local restaurants, but this one was by far the best! Fresh, some other places recently have had a slightly fishy taste. The napa cabbage slaw on side was also yummy. For desert I enjoyed the creme brulee, also perfectly done. The upstairs is comfy cozy, soft, and elegant. Thank you Anson for the most perfect birthday dinner!

My group was so impressed with the whole experience here from the food to the service! The atmosphere is also wonderful, we will definitely be coming back!

If you’re visiting the peninsula of downtown Charleston and looking for a fabulous restaurant, look no further!! When we are in town, we book ahead at least one event by Anson’s!! Tonight was the fried green tomato appetizer and the peach heirloom tomato corn salad over goat cheese appetizer followed by a filet with truffle butter and lobster Mac n cheese!! Absolutely fantastic!! Great wine, great food, great service, and great ambiance makes for a great evening out!!! Bon apatite!!

Beware that if you have later reservations, several of the entre items will not be available - very disappointing. For a special occasion, I was so irritated that none of fish or pasta selections were available. Ended up with salmon, which was okay, but certainly ruined the experience for me.

The manager, Mike, was very accommodating to our group. We had a last-minute add-on of the bride and groom. The staff and the food were exceptional. I highly recommend the she crab soup. It was an all-around great dining experience.

Anson is right in beautiful downtown Charleston. We had reservations and went on a week night and we were seated as soon as we arrived. . Will , our waiter, was very knowledgeable and attentive. The food !!From the she-crab soup, oysters on the half shell, and fried green tomatoes to the four desserts we all took a taste of, the food was delicious!! Overall, we had a great special night out!

This place was amazing! Our server Darnell I believe was wonderful from start to finish! I had the halibut and it was very good. Steaks were some of the best my family ever had they said! It’s a very beautiful on the inside ans I would go back in a heart beat!
