We have always loved Annie Gunn’s and still do, but our last experience was confusing. The reservation was for 3:30 as I was aware that the lunch menu is good until 4. We were seated promptly and due to a “shift change” we ended up with 4 different servers approaching us. They nicely explained, however seemed a bit confused and apologized. When we asked about using the lunch menu , the comment made was “you have the wrong menu …. Let me change that… I said I made the reservation knowing we wanted the lunch option. Then once we asked we were told they could work it out. I ended up ordering the Sole and it was fabulous and my husband had the lunch order of medallions and they did not disappoint! The sauce was excellent. I would advise anyone going for smaller portions on the lunch menu to arrive no later than 3:00.

It’s the best steak joint in St. Louis. The atmosphere is awesome and the food is absolutely amazing.

Nothing to complain about, spectacular carpaccio, aged ribeye was perfect, oysters on the half shell is always a treat, halibut special was perfect, ending with the flourless chocolate torte and apple pie with ice cream was a great end cap. Service was perfect. Worth EVERY PENNY.

We were in a private booth initially and I asked to be moved to the open area. This was not an easy accommodation for them but did it with a smile. Excellent restaurant, food, ambiance and service.
