The main food and service were excellent. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and welcoming, and gave great advice on the food choices, and good suggestions.
The restaurant is clearly very popular and does require a booking. On arrival we were informed that we had 90 minutes as the table was booked afterwards. The food was exceptional and would definetly recommend the haggis, crab and steak.
The score is not perfect as we asked to look at deserts with about 20 minutes to go till we had to vacate, and at this point we were moved to the main bar area to order. This was not as good as very busy, much louder and seating not as good with other people almost sitting on top of us. Whilst I can understand the restrictions on our table and booking it would have being much better to take our order and let us have the full 90 minutes. If we had not finished by then, then of course move us.
Likewise the deserts was the poorest part of the menu. The food generally was excleent. However the deserts gave little choice, and quality was actually very poor. The desert was dry, relatively tasteless and for the prices a Mcdonalds Flurry would have being nicer and better value.
That was the only downspot, and will particularly mention the staff who were all excellent. Very helpful, friendly, and always had a smile on their face.
Overall would certainly recommend this restaurant
