Food was outstanding! Service was great! I was disappointed that no one thought to observe that it was Valentine's Day. Brought my wife for a romantic dinner, but I was all on my own. I was up to the task, but a Rose on the table, or a Valentine's Day themed entree or drink would have given Ancora a 5 rating.

Fantastic dinner from beginning to end. Started with the fried calamari and greens. Both were excellent, calamari was crispy but tender and the greens were very flavorful. Portions were perfect. The chicken francaise medallions were nice and thin and very tender and oh a great lemon/butter sauce. Chose the Parmesan Risotto in place of the capellini which was a great choice because the risotto was delectable. Also came with sautéed spinach which complemented all to perfection. We also split an order of chicken riggies which are one of the best riggies around. Our friends had the Salmon fishy and the Seabass which they both were extremely happy with. We ended with bananas foster which I would get again and our friends had crème brûlée which they said was delish. Looked it too!! Ancora will not disappoint! All of the tapas and apps are amazing. It’s had deciding which ones to order. We just said we will return again soon to get the others. Thanks to all at Ancora who made this a great night out. Oh, forgot……..the wine was flowing as soon as we got there and it was good pour. The bartender was great and knowledgeable about the food as well. If you have never been, you have to go here. You will be thrilled that you did! Enjoy

Top notch food, service and staff. Always have the best dinners at Ancora. A must if you are in Utica.

We drive 30 minutes just for a date night here. We were greeted with smiles even though we were late for our reservation. All the staff was great and the food was excellent. We thought about dinner but decided against it due to too much food during dinner. Our host asked if it was our first time there, which it was, then insisted we ordered a dessert on the house. We got a crepe and forgot we were even too full to try any. We will definitely be back soon!
