Le restaurant Amoura, situé au coeur de South San Francisco, a apporté une cuisine méditerranéenne moderne à la Bay Area lorsque ses portes ont ouvert au début de 2015. La famille Shihadeh (propriétaire des établissements School House Grocery, Deli Up Café et Amoura Café dans SFO et Westfield Mall) a fait équipe avec le consultant culinaire David Wilcox pour créer un menu composé de grands classiques ainsi que de plats uniques, tous reflétant l'esprit et les saveurs de la Méditerranée. Avec la cuisine maintenant sous la direction du talentueux Josh Dixon, l'équipe est en train de devenir un joueur puissant dans la Bay Area. La sélection de boissons est mise en valeur par le service de bar complet, le menu unique de cocktails et la vaste carte des vins. En outre, le restaurant dispose d'une cuisine à aire ouverte (avec un four à pita et un gril à robata), d'un coin lounge et d'une salle à manger privée équipée de l'ensemble des capacités de la technologie AV. L'Amoura est situé au 713 Linden Avenue à South San Francisco.

We made a reservation for a business lunch with a client for a party of 6. They reserved us a corner table which was perfect. One of our party had a severe food allergy which multiple staff members were able to assure us was not in any of the food we ordered. The food was delicious. Almost all of us ordered kebabs. It is a nice option in the area for a sitdown lunch that is not too formal.

Very nice experience in South San Francisco. My wife had a salmon entree that she said was excellent. I’m vegetarian; my stuffed eggplant entree was superb, baked to the exact degree of doneness. There are other vegetarian options as well, like the mezze platter or several different flatbreads. Good service and somewhat upscale but comfortable decor. I had a nice glass of wine, though the only downside here is that there are no Palestinian or Middle Eastern beers or wines by the glass.

Amoura is a go-to place for us and we love the wine, and now, beer pairing dinners. This is our third of three that they done. Our only complaint was the brewmaster didn't make the time to make it to every table to introduce himself, his product and presumably, to thank everyone for trying their beer. There weren't that many tables, and, 'hi, thanks for coming' would have been enough. We didn't need a 10 minute conversation. That said, we love these dinners and the service on the restaurant's end, is attentive, friendly and they remember you.

Thomas, We greatly appreciate your loyalty and continued support of our pairing dinners. We know how much work goes into these events, so your appreciation means a lot to us. Regarding the brewmaster, Collin traveled a long way to attend the event and he was slightly pressed for time which is why he spoke to the room as a whole as well. While we didn’t specifically discuss with him how to manage his time during the event, we addressed your concern by having his representative speak with your party and provide some complimentary merchandise as a gesture of thanks. That said, we’re so happy to hear that you enjoyed the evening overall, and that the service on our end continues to be attentive and welcoming. It's always a pleasure serving your party and we hope to see you at our next event!

I recently dined at this Mediterranean restaurant and was impressed by both the quality of the food and the level of service. With a reservation, I was seated promptly within two minutes of arriving, which set a positive tone for the afternoon. The ambiance is well-suited for business meetings, offering a professional atmosphere. However, the noise level was notably high, which made it somewhat challenging to engage in conversation. My business partner and I found ourselves needing to project in order to be heard clearly. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I would certainly consider returning in the future.

The food is delicious with generous portions. Get the mezes plate. Everything is fresh and house made. This is a gem of a restaurant.

Amoura is a good go-to in SSF. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the food consistently good. The restaurant is always clean and welcoming.

I've never had a bad meal at Amoura, and I've never been disappointed in any dish. The service is outstanding, and the food is delicious. If you're looking for a nice restaurant to get some Mediterranean food, with a nice bar thrown in as an extra, this is the place.
