We did not get the waiter we requested when we made our reservation. We waited for 15-20 minutes at our table and were not offered cocktails. We asked about ordering cocktails when our waiter came to tell us the specials for the evening and he appeared irritated. Our experience was not as good as it’s been on previous visits.

Meals were delivered promptly but one dish contained a human hair. Waiter searched but could not locate. However, after we voiced our concern, manager did deduct from tab. For forty years we enjoyed the original site but after our third attempt at the new location there will not be a fourth.

We set out to have an upscale dining experience at Aldo's with reservations at 7PM on a Saturday evening. We arrived on time and were greeted warmly and our reservation was immediately recognized and we were seated. The dining room has a modern vibe which is a little "hard" but still good. Hard floors, hard walls which adds to noise. Seating was comfortable, however and the service was prompt. Our waiter was cordial and from the start, helpful and attentive. The staff that takes care of drinks like tea/water and removal of plates was also just the right amount of attention. I ordered an Old Fashioned to start while my wife had iced tea. The cocktail was very strong and didn't have any sweetness at all... I'm used to an old fashioned having a bit of orange or berry with a hint of sweet. The alcohol content was much stronger than I'm used to, but it was still good. I had to stop at 1/2 way to make sure I wasn't impaired later. We started with the roasted beets and a house salad, both were excellent along with the complimentary bread, oil, vinegar and cheese. For entrees, she had the snapper dish and I chose the beef tenderloin filet. The fish was outstanding in flavor, texture and temperature but the mushrooms and artichokes didn't seem fresh... seemed like those from a jar or can. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered and delicious but the vegetables seemed undercooked.. the carrots, for example, were crunchy. We finished with some hot tea and their signature cheesecake, which did not disappoint. So overall, it was nice and can't complain about service. I think food could be a little better. What was terrible was the noise. I understand it being louder on a weekend but there was one table of 6 in the center with two women who at times were practically screaming as they carried on. We kept hoping management would ask them to cool it, but that didn't happen. So we had to endure this and it made dinner unpleasant.

This was a very romantic evening in a lovely setting. The tables were set elegantly. Our waiter was first-class, very European-style. The menu offers a delicious choice of beef, seafood, chicken, and classic Italian dishes. The selections vary weekly. The food is very fresh. Aldo's pasta and cheeses are house-made. Everything they serve is presented beautifully, and the food is delicious. This is not an Olive Garden! The prices are commensurate with Aldo's quality and upper-taste menu. An extensive wine list and several alcoholic beverages served. I loved it all! As did the man of my dreams!

We had a chicken, Scampi and a Capellini dish. All smelled so good and tasted equally delicious. The service was great. The later the evening the louder it got. Just people enjoying a great evening…
