   We have dined at Alchemy often and will likely return, however, for this meal we felt the chef was overly attached to his use of salt. The soup was way salty, the meat was a bit generously salted (not all bad with steak), and two of the three desserts on the menu indicated they were accompanied by Malden salt. We were seated in the bar area, and for a while there was a large table of loud diners, which made it hard to have a conversation. As soon as that party left the noise level was good.

   Such a nice treat in early spring to eat outdoors. The flowers were blooming, and the food was amazing.

   Reserved a last minute date night. The steak tartare, the lamb osso bucco and the duck were delightful! My husband said the old fashioned was the best he's ever had. I can concur that it was very smooth. My citrusy daiquiri was just right to cut through the richness of our meal. Didn't have to wait long for anything. Sat outside which was fine as the weather was perfect for it.

   Lovely setting. Bibb lettuce salad and black cod dish were exceptional. Extensive wine list. Our waiter, Dave was very knowledgeable with selecting wine. We will be back.

   Incredible restaurant, absolutely fantastic servers, and the food was simple, but tremendous and always well balanced. The location is beautiful; we cannot wait to go back again!

   This is a nice quiet restaurant with excellent food and service. Every time I come to Ashland I must eat here at least once. They are very attentive to people’s schedules to attend plays etc. They have a superb wine selection.

   The service and food were outstanding. As you might have noticed in your research, everything was very expensive. We were rather surprised to see the bartender in sweat pants and a hoodie. When we’re paying that kind of money, we expected staff who respected their customers with more appropriate personal presentation.

   Lovely evening sitting at the bar. Expecting to order a steak for dinner however black cod was a fantastic choice. They serve a mean old fashion.
