Leur premier restaurant a ouvert ses portes à Castlefield (Manchester) en 2004 avec un objectif clair : offrir une cuisine de qualité à des clients locaux et à un prix raisonnable dans un espace moderne, élégant avec un service convivial sans prétention. C'est cette philosophie qui a permis à l'établissement de fidéliser de nombreux clients. Le menu peut être qualifié de britannique avec quelques classiques supplémentaires en provenance d'Italie et du monde entier. Le nouvel espace, qui sera créé à partir de l'ancien pub et restaurant New Ellesmere sur la East Lancashire Road, permettra d'ouvrir un espace moderne élégant pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 180 personnes et comportera également une terrasse extérieure pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 60 convives.

The Ellesmere Room located on the first floor, it is named after the cinema that occupied the site many years ago. The Ellesmere is a modern, design led space which can be used for anything from wedding ceremonies to christenings. It can accommodate up to 120 for dining to 200 for parties. It has its own dedicated entrance, private bar and a private heated and covered terrace. All our menus are designed and cooked by the chefs in albert’s, so you can rest assured the food will be as outstanding as our event space. Situated on the ground floor of our main restaurant, The Harold Riley room is perfect for private lunches or dinners or drinks receptions. The private dining room can accommodate up to 40 people and also features its own heated terrace which is the perfect alfresco area in which to enjoy pre-dinner drinks or to let the outside in during the summer months!

The food was absolutely beautiful, the quality has been brilliant the last few times we have been. We had the Sunday dinner sharing platter and it’s honestly my absolute favourite place when I am craving a good, high quality tasting meal.

Never disappointed with the food, and tonight as usual the food was fabulous, BUT no mint sauce for the Lamb. So slightly disappointed with that. Surely someone could have gone and bought some ? Lamb needs Mint Sauce.

Not lived up to the expectations. Welcome ok , limited menu choice , quality of food below par ( my chicken dish served dry & overcooked ) , server scruffy ( tidy up facial hair & pressed clothing would be an improvement ) , excessively noisy . Decor could do with a revamp / update . Last came here about 6months ago , had similar experience & so was perhaps hoping for an improvement . Rating reflects average experience. Strange as we also go to the one at Standish & have a much better experience 😉

Gerda served our table. She was quick, courteous and polite. Our food and drinks orders came quickly. We had to ask for the air con to be turned down, as it was chilly. It took a while for it to warm up but it only warmed up when we had finished our meal. The food was delicious! Thank you.

Another pleasant experience, Lizzie looked after us today and she did amazing, very polite and attentive, she is a credit to the company!

We sat outside, brilliant way to watch the fireworks and chat with friends. The menu is limited, but diverse enough that everyone in the party was happy! Pizza for children, an amazing fillet steak platter and the specials were enticing and fabulous! We took a small graduation celebration cake and the team were happy to help us use this as dessert (we still ordered some puddings as well!) The whole night felt like the perfect family get together - we leisurely ate, we did not feel rushed to leave or to keep pace with the flow of the kitchen. It was a lovely evening. £225 for 6 - starters, mains and drinks 10% was added for a tip - absolutely fine with this as the service from a young team was exceptional.

We’ve not been to Albert’s in a while so we decided to book a table for a change. Services was excellent. We ordered fillet steak for 2. The fillet steak was nice but fatty. Had cut around the fat and a little tuff to cut. I even asked the waitress if it was fillet steak. Overall was just disappointed with the steak. Husband said the garlic bread was really nice though. Can not fault the services from waitress. Unfortunately I won’t be in a hurry to book a table any time soon.
