Leur premier restaurant a ouvert ses portes à Castlefield (Manchester) en 2004 avec un objectif clair : offrir une cuisine de qualité à des clients locaux et à un prix raisonnable dans un espace moderne, élégant avec un service convivial sans prétention. C'est cette philosophie qui a permis à l'établissement de fidéliser de nombreux clients. Le menu peut être qualifié de britannique avec quelques classiques supplémentaires en provenance d'Italie et du monde entier. Le nouvel espace, qui sera créé à partir de l'ancien pub et restaurant New Ellesmere sur la East Lancashire Road, permettra d'ouvrir un espace moderne élégant pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 180 personnes et comportera également une terrasse extérieure pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 60 convives.

The Ellesmere Room located on the first floor, it is named after the cinema that occupied the site many years ago. The Ellesmere is a modern, design led space which can be used for anything from wedding ceremonies to christenings. It can accommodate up to 120 for dining to 200 for parties. It has its own dedicated entrance, private bar and a private heated and covered terrace. All our menus are designed and cooked by the chefs in albert’s, so you can rest assured the food will be as outstanding as our event space. Situated on the ground floor of our main restaurant, The Harold Riley room is perfect for private lunches or dinners or drinks receptions. The private dining room can accommodate up to 40 people and also features its own heated terrace which is the perfect alfresco area in which to enjoy pre-dinner drinks or to let the outside in during the summer months!

Sunday dinner was loved by everyone! Live music was a special touch. Would defiantly recommend!

The noise levels are too loud to have conversation. We need to be more careful with the date/time we choose to next come for a meal.

Very good as always. I think almost £14 for a glass of rose is very expensive but otherwise all good. Very busy.

I usually love Albert’s. My issue today was the ‘cheaper’ menu. Starter was fine but the main course didn’t have any veg. It was a very small piece of fish and potatoes. That’s all. Just wasn’t enough. I’ll still go but next time will opt for the a la cart menu instead. I understand how cheaper menu generally means smaller portions but it could still have included vegetables - just fewer.

Sea bass main was a bit small but very nice. Starter and Dessert were if a good size.

We’ve been coming for years for the 2 courses for £14.99 special but we won’t be back. The choice on the menu has shrunk and worse still, the portion sizes wouldn’t leave a child full. The steak was tiny and desserts (even though are advertised as mini) was the size of a chocolate that you get in a box of chocolates. Come on Alberts, I know the price of food has increased considerably but you make enough on the alcohol to be able to give your customers a decent meal.
