Leur premier restaurant a ouvert ses portes à Castlefield (Manchester) en 2004 avec un objectif clair : offrir une cuisine de qualité à des clients locaux et à un prix raisonnable dans un espace moderne, élégant avec un service convivial sans prétention. C'est cette philosophie qui a permis à l'établissement de fidéliser de nombreux clients. Le menu peut être qualifié de britannique avec quelques classiques supplémentaires en provenance d'Italie et du monde entier. Le nouvel espace, qui sera créé à partir de l'ancien pub et restaurant New Ellesmere sur la East Lancashire Road, permettra d'ouvrir un espace moderne élégant pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 180 personnes et comportera également une terrasse extérieure pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 60 convives.

The Ellesmere Room located on the first floor, it is named after the cinema that occupied the site many years ago. The Ellesmere is a modern, design led space which can be used for anything from wedding ceremonies to christenings. It can accommodate up to 120 for dining to 200 for parties. It has its own dedicated entrance, private bar and a private heated and covered terrace. All our menus are designed and cooked by the chefs in albert’s, so you can rest assured the food will be as outstanding as our event space. Situated on the ground floor of our main restaurant, The Harold Riley room is perfect for private lunches or dinners or drinks receptions. The private dining room can accommodate up to 40 people and also features its own heated terrace which is the perfect alfresco area in which to enjoy pre-dinner drinks or to let the outside in during the summer months!

Although the food was very good we found that the menu was very limited and my wife struggled to find anything she liked. She did eventually go foe the lamb rump which was served with white beans which we both felt was a strange combination

Good value lunch menu. Excellent portion size and staff very attentive. Good selection of wines by the glass too.

I had to grab the server on too many occasions to get drinks, to order, and to pay. I literally had to walk around the restaurant trying to get someone’s attention. When you are adding 15% service charge to the bill then you need to staff up appropriately.

The service from the waitress was extremely friendly, informative and efficient even though she was very busy There is not enough choice on the menus anymore which is why we haven’t visited for sometime and had previously visited on a regular basis

First rate Sunday lunch with family , lovely atmosphere for a large restaurant , our waitress was attentive efficient and charming we all ordered roast beef and one steak burger it was served within 10 mins of ordering !! Everyone agreed all aspects of their meals were first class , first visit , first of many I would highly recommend
