Leur premier restaurant a ouvert ses portes à Castlefield (Manchester) en 2004 avec un objectif clair : offrir une cuisine de qualité à des clients locaux et à un prix raisonnable dans un espace moderne, élégant avec un service convivial sans prétention. C'est cette philosophie qui a permis à l'établissement de fidéliser de nombreux clients. Le menu peut être qualifié de britannique avec quelques classiques supplémentaires en provenance d'Italie et du monde entier. Le nouvel espace, qui sera créé à partir de l'ancien pub et restaurant New Ellesmere sur la East Lancashire Road, permettra d'ouvrir un espace moderne élégant pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 180 personnes et comportera également une terrasse extérieure pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 60 convives.

The Ellesmere Room located on the first floor, it is named after the cinema that occupied the site many years ago. The Ellesmere is a modern, design led space which can be used for anything from wedding ceremonies to christenings. It can accommodate up to 120 for dining to 200 for parties. It has its own dedicated entrance, private bar and a private heated and covered terrace. All our menus are designed and cooked by the chefs in albert’s, so you can rest assured the food will be as outstanding as our event space. Situated on the ground floor of our main restaurant, The Harold Riley room is perfect for private lunches or dinners or drinks receptions. The private dining room can accommodate up to 40 people and also features its own heated terrace which is the perfect alfresco area in which to enjoy pre-dinner drinks or to let the outside in during the summer months!

We sat outside, brilliant way to watch the fireworks and chat with friends. The menu is limited, but diverse enough that everyone in the party was happy! Pizza for children, an amazing fillet steak platter and the specials were enticing and fabulous! We took a small graduation celebration cake and the team were happy to help us use this as dessert (we still ordered some puddings as well!) The whole night felt like the perfect family get together - we leisurely ate, we did not feel rushed to leave or to keep pace with the flow of the kitchen. It was a lovely evening. £225 for 6 - starters, mains and drinks 10% was added for a tip - absolutely fine with this as the service from a young team was exceptional.

We’ve not been to Albert’s in a while so we decided to book a table for a change. Services was excellent. We ordered fillet steak for 2. The fillet steak was nice but fatty. Had cut around the fat and a little tuff to cut. I even asked the waitress if it was fillet steak. Overall was just disappointed with the steak. Husband said the garlic bread was really nice though. Can not fault the services from waitress. Unfortunately I won’t be in a hurry to book a table any time soon.

Excellent food but would have been a better experience if the staff were more attentive, we never got asked if we needed more drinks and desite requestibg we didnt get any water. Service was slow and we had long waits between courses.

My Mam was fed up so brought her here as a surprise - she loved the surroundings , service was great, cleaned regularly throughout, music on in the background, had sunday lunch, food was delicious although she would of preferred her plate to be hot as it takes her a lot longer to eat these days, Mam had said on arrival - I hope the food matches the scery as no point having lovely surroundings if the food isn’t up to scratch , she had lamb and loved it, I had beef was cooked longer at my request and was delicious, roasties gorgeous, carrots and parsnips amazing, yorkshire pudding was enormous - too big for us both, son had burger and chips enjoyed and had sticky toffee pudding and ice- cream delicious but would have preferred more sauce and I would have preferred custard with it rather than ice-cream - overall experience was lovely - I have been a few times and enjoyed every time , my Mam would return but she wants to pay next time and son will bring his partner next time so a big thumbs up from us three - see you next time and thank you for fitting us in at short notice too.

We are Australian tourists who have dined at Albert’s twice in the past fortnight. Excellent atmosphere, professional staff, a fine menu, plenty of parking, great location and value for money. If we were locals this would be a routine place for us to dine for us.

After dining here on numerous occasions we were disappointed to find the breakfast was cold there was a couple behind us who also found that there breakfast was also the only thing that was hot was the beans
