The Castlefield Rooms offer a boutique, out of the ordinary, venue in central Manchester, in a stunning position within a conservation area on the banks of the Bridgewater Canal. With a superb location in Manchester City Centre, near all major transport links, complimentary on site parking and the highest levels of service and cuisine, the Castlefield Rooms are the perfect venue to hold your wedding, corporate event or party. We offer a choice of three contrasting spaces for anything from 25 to 250 guests together with a range of competitively priced event packages. The versatility of the spaces is also reflected in the variety of menus available from the acclaimed kitchens of Albert’s Shed Restaurant and Dukes 92 which are located on the same site as The Castlefield Rooms. Whichever space you decide on you will have our dedicated Events Team on hand to ensure the smooth and efficient running of your event.

The food was expensive. I had a nice steak but with o e side included, it was over-priced. The waitress seemed to forget we existed and the service was very slow. It wasn’t busy, despite being a Saturday night so I am not sure what the waitress was doing. I didn’t appreciate having to ask for dessert menus.

We have dined at Alberts on a number of previous occasions and for the most part our meal this time and the other elements referred to were up to the standard we have come to expect. However, on this occasion whilst the sea bass was most enjoyable, my friend was not impressed with her meal, fish and chips. She said the fish was greasy and she left most of her meal. She did draw this to the attention of the waitress. But we are likely to come back again, just choose a different meal option.

Food was good but slightly small portioned for the price. Service was very friendly but a little slow but probably because it was a slow night. Outdoor seating is really nice!

Have dined here on many occasions over the years Always have good food, super value and great surroundings. The Malayan chicken was divine. Our friends had the lamb, fish and chips and sea bass and all commented how delicious their meals were The service was a little bit slow on this occasion but did not detract from an overall good experience

was not that impressed with albert’s. there was no flatbread starters as they had no ham. ended up with mushroom pizza as again no ham to go on it. Did not enjoy the burger, the coleslaw was awful. This was 6pm so they shouldn’t run out of food at this time. Prosecco was thrown on the table. Service was slow and poor. It was our wedding anniversary which we stated but got nothing extra. overall a poor experience.

I brought my friend to try Albert’s for the first time and her choice in the lunchtime set menu was spot on and she thoroughly enjoyed it and hopes to come again with some friends. I’ve been b4 and I too enjoyed my lunch. There were 2 corporate parties in attendance which unfortunately did make it difficult for my friend and I to hear each other. Perhaps Albert’s could consider putting larger tables away from regular diners. Staff were very polite and attentive. However I thought the tables were too close together and were spaced apart just enough to get as many tables in the venue.
