The Castlefield Rooms offer a boutique, out of the ordinary, venue in central Manchester, in a stunning position within a conservation area on the banks of the Bridgewater Canal. With a superb location in Manchester City Centre, near all major transport links, complimentary on site parking and the highest levels of service and cuisine, the Castlefield Rooms are the perfect venue to hold your wedding, corporate event or party. We offer a choice of three contrasting spaces for anything from 25 to 250 guests together with a range of competitively priced event packages. The versatility of the spaces is also reflected in the variety of menus available from the acclaimed kitchens of Albert’s Shed Restaurant and Dukes 92 which are located on the same site as The Castlefield Rooms. Whichever space you decide on you will have our dedicated Events Team on hand to ensure the smooth and efficient running of your event.

Nice venue, modern and clean and good vibe a little away from the crowds of the city centre but in a great setting food was good, not a huge menu but good choices so don’t mind that, as hate long winded menus Good service but think they were a little understaffed Bar closed early. A little pricey but not way overpriced for city restaurants

Overall experience was pretty average. Despite mentioning in our booking that we were attending for our daughter’s 18th, this clearly hadn’t been seen - and no better table was forthcoming when we asked for one on arrival. So we were sat near the entrance, a pretty drafty spot. If customers are able to submit a note with their booking, this should be paid attention to prior to arrival. I regret not calling direct to confirm a better table in advance. Table service from our waiter was great. Food was pretty average - but we had to raise a concern about the vegetarian version of the curry, which arrived with around 10 chickpeas replacing the chicken! The waiter acted promptly, returning it to the kitchen, from where it came back with more chickpeas and the cost knocked off the bill. Bit disappointed overall, cost and experience was not what we’d hoped for.

My favourite restaurant in Manchester, have been going here for years and it never disappoints. Awesome food, atmosphere and service.

Have visited Albert’s shed and Didsbury many times over the years but disappointed on this occasion The steak was rather tough the fish and chip were only lukewarm.

We enjoyed a wonderful long lunch at Albert’s Shed. The food was wonderful. Service was great. The setting was lovely and festive. Slow cooked beef was unreal.

TBH this was an awful meal. Service poor, waitress staff hurried, drinks were not offered, the water to the table and the wine was asked for by me as staff went by without checking in. Food was awful, we questioned the main course with a waitress who said she'd check with kitchen, she didn't come back to us. We had to ask for the bill, which was delivered at the same time as a card reader (I think that is rude). Really awful, not what you'd expect from Alberts. This level of poor service wouldn't not happen in Didsbury. I realise prior to Christmas, the restaurant is busy. But even so! My wine stood on the bar for 5-10 minutes, my pal watched and caught a waitresses eye to deliver it to me. Really really poor :-( Soup was lumpy and cold. Bread served cold. No potatoes you'd could see in chicken and bubble and squeak (we asked to have more pots and word was sent to kitchen, nothing came back). Hey ho a bad meal in December, it happens!

Food was lovely but the service let us down. No offer of condiments, no one asked us if our food was nice or if we had everything, which we didn’t. I had to ask for missing sides. Also no offer for another drink. Disappointing really.
