Served daily in the majestic, naturally-lit surroundings of the hotel’s dining room, The Lanesborough Grill, afternoon tea is accompanied by a pianist at weekends.

An amazing afternoon tea, the attention to detail was brilliant and the way they fussed after my mum was great, can’t praise the staff enough. Highly recommended and enjoyable afternoon.

Lovely environment. Great service. The afternoon tea was very nice. Just the following comments: The strawberry jam with the scones was very runny, with no fruit - though it tasted lovely. All the cakes were too sweet and sickly. The scones were excellent.

We booked a vegan afternoon tea and found that the hotel was in a good location and easy to travel to via public transport. The decor and environment of the space was lovely and everything was clean. There was a good selection of teas and the service was satisfactory. However, the food was a disappointment. The sandwiches were pleasant but the scones were a bit dry and dense, also a few were quite hard. The desserts were the biggest disappointment because the consistency and texture were all too similar. Most of them were mousse with a biscuit base and the flavourings were too sweet. It would’ve been nice to have some classic cakes such as a Victoria sponge and more variety in textures so that it wasn’t all soft. Overall we do not feel like it was good value for money because we didn’t really enjoy the food.

A lovely experience. The sandwiches, tea, sweets and cocktails were all delicious. The staff members were all kind and attentive. The only negative is that we were charged 15 pounds for water without warning (7.50 x 2 because we asked for refills).

The best afternoon tea I have ever been to, and I have been to plenty of them in the fanciest of restaurants. The food was exquisite, flavour and presentation wise. Service was the best I've ever experienced in London. I loved that they didn't rush you out unlike most london restaurants that have a time limit, so one could truly relax and have a great time. The waiting staff was incredibly attentive and considerate. I went with a girlfriend for a girly afternoon and will definitely be returning with family at later stage.
