Wow, an experience that has been an annual event over 24 years has just came a possible skipper. Got the reservation 3 months in advance, experienced VALET being increased to 31.00 plus tip - The valet took my keys, gave me no ticket and left me where I had parked. When I came out after tea he asked me to identify my vehicle still parked where I had left it, he found my key and gave it to me. The only difference was the 15 point turn to get it out of the predicament that the valet got me into by parking vehicles so tight front to rear against me - hint make the valet get you out of that situation. The actual TEA situation is atrocious- WE had a Party of 5 THEY served the CHADON FIRST, before water, before tea. We had a table of 5 and one the tea, before we even had food on the table and one f our group had nothing in front of her. . WHAT!!! The waitress barely acknowledged us the whole time.. We finally had some other patron offer to take a group picture and that was when a waitress from a different section offered to take our picture. Good try but NOT the holiday beginning we were all wanting.

The Tea is not what it used to be. Sharing one pot of tea for tables of four or more is not appropriate. Food was very average for price paid. Hotel is in need of renovation. Bathrooms are old and worn. The Marriott needs to put some money into this hotel to bring back its luster. Quality of food needs to be improved as well. Very sad to see this grand dame go downhill.

Another excellent visit. The staff are so wonderful, the selection of tea items are wonderful and the ambience always sophisticted.

We loved attending the Afternoon Tea at the Brown Palace! We arrived a little early, which gave us time to explore the lobby and second floor enclosed overpass. Service was lovely. We had many choices of black and herbal teas, and the varied scones, sandwiches, and desserts were perfect for the occasion. We were sitting near the grand piano, and the pianist did a wonderful job of playing quietly and beautifully. Valet parking and pickup went very smoothly.

The ambience at the Brown Palace is beautiful plus the history of it is fun. It’s just an amazing place. I would’ve liked to have more than one option for tea, but the tea we had was good. The food was good.

First time doing the afternoon tea at the Brown Palace and I thought it would have been better to be honest. I’ve heard great things from other people. I just felt like the details that would have made it worth $65 a person were lacking. My tea cup was chipped at the bottom. The tables have been through a lot of use, the chairs being fabric were dirty and even one of them had a ripped seat. The bathrooms of the hotel were so tiny and the doors to the stalls were beaten to heck. The locks on the stalls would barely lock. Not what I was expecting. The tea was very good and the food was alright. I think I liked the scones best. Service was very good. Overall just some details were lacking to keep me from being able to say it was exquisite.

Great food, ambience, music and the tea were the best part of the afternoon. It's so pretty inside the atrium and surrounding areas of the hotel. Such a fun girls' day!!
