A comfortable gathering place where people come together to celebrate, debate politics or simply spend time with friends and family, Ad Lib is a “new take” on a traditional American Tavern.
Food and Drink offerings are old favorites “turned on their side” and full of surprises. Our food and beverage chefs combine classic preparations with contemporary creativity. Ad lib specials, the “Ad Lib Lunch” and Ad lib social hours celebrate spontaneity. This is a place to share food and share stories. There’s no script, just a stage set for you to wing it!
This is food that is fun to cook, fun to eat, fun to share. And, you can try many dishes in one visit with the large offering of small plate options. Guests can choose from over 40 small plates, over 30 wines by the glass, over 60 selections of beer and an ever changing list of craft, barrel aged and edible cocktails.

So, we went for the “over 30 item Bloody Mary bar”, which was quite disappointing. It had about 10 things, 5 of which were different peppers and old bay seasoning. It didn’t have either celery or horseradish (essentials) much less any nice add ins like bacon or cocktail onions. Bartender was downright rude when asked. The upside was our server was fabulous and perfectly happy to bring anything we asked for. We ended up sharing our horseradish and celery with the table next to us, who were also disappointed with “Harrisburg’s best Bloody Mary bar”. The food was good. Nothing super great, but certainly tasty. They also had live entertainment, and the guy was pretty good. So as a brunch, worth the trip. But not if you want a Bloody Mary bar. You could do just was well rummaging through your kitchen.

Express Lunch & the Cuban Grilled Cheese were both excellent. The service was terrific.

We picked this restaurant for convenience. What a lovely surprise to find the service exceptional as well as the food. Our waitperson, Mike, was able to give us wine recommendations as well as being attentive despite every table being occupied. Can’t wait to go back for no reason except an exceptional dining experience.

The server was nice, but not super attentive so we had to correct drink orders and entrees. The ambiance is a vibe though.

The food was good. I was a tiny bit disappointed that the menu was a bit different than the one that shows on line. As I am a gluten free guest and am limited and a few of the gf things were not on the menu. Everything else was great though. April was our server And she was wonderful. Very knowledgeable about the menu and pleasant and accommodating She should have a 6 star rating

Glad to be seated in a booth in a relatively area as requested! Most food options tasty, oysters, garlic fries and yummy passion fruit dessert. Wished we had ordered the black cod over the street tacos that were bland and minimal. Great service, fun ambience! Worth checking out, better than most hotel restaurants.

I thought it was great that we were asked by the chef & the server how we liked the new additions to the menu that we tried. Service was excellent and attentive.

The food was delicious. Especially the Brussels sprouts and the duck. The decor is beautiful. The cocktails were good also.

My boyfriend and I went in to enjoy their Sunday Brunch, the overall atmosphere was an experience with the live music provided and the quick service. The food and drinks were good. I definitely recommend the Short Rib Omelet, probably consumed it as soon as it got to me haha.
