Overall nice experience, food was good and the staff was attentive. It was nice to have gluten free options pointed out on the menu.

Food is good, price is reasonably fair. Think El Tiempo or Papasitos - it is a little fancier and more expensive than those, but the food is comparable and is very good. It's right on the riverwalk, the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious.

We sat on the patio overlooking the riverwalk after a Broadway show. The atmosphere and view were outstanding. The only downside would be that the sun be shining right on our table and in our faces. This was about 4 to 4:30 p.m. time frame. There is not anything the restaurant could have done. We ordered tableside guacamole for 2. The chef was friendly and the guac was AMAZING! We also ordered the cheese enchiladas and enchiladas verdes with rice and beans. We are not a big rice/beans fans, but both of these food items were delicous. They had tons of flavor and were not dried out. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We asked to move our table to the middle section because the back section is just too loud since it is so closed off. We had a very loud table by us and we couldn’t hear ourselves think! Once we moved, we were able to carry on a conversation.

The weather was pleasant so we sat outside by the river walk, very nice. Had a couple of cocktails, appetizers, and food. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. I recommend the guacamole and the queso flameado! Our waiter, John, went above and beyond. What an asset to their team! We had fish tacos, shrimp on jicama, Mexican chicken on salad, and fajita vegetables. Everything was wonderful and the bill for four was around $200. I give Acenar 5 stars and a high recommendation!

Our first visit to Acenar. This was dinner before a performance at the Majestic. Reservation was early and we were seated immediately. We chose inside dining as it was very warm and humid that evening. Our waiter, Jay, was at our table almost immediately. We told him our time frame related to the show. As we had allowed 2 hours, it was not going to be an issue. We ordered drinks as we reviewed the menu. I had a cucumber, jalapeno, margarita and my wife had a glass of wine. First were appetizers. We tried several, but the Ahi tuna tostada was our favorite. Jay continued to check with us, but was never pushing us to order/move along. Our main's were a chicken dish and the Cabrito. Both well prepared and presented very hot from the kitchen. You do not find Cabrito on many menus and this preparation was excellent. The environment was nice, but a bit loud. As we love outside, the patio dining would be great as it overlooks the river. But, the temperature needs to be a bit cooler for us to enjoy it. Definitely a place we will return. Great service and food, but 4 stars, not 5 as it was a bit loud for me and the chairs could have been a bit more comfortable.
