The Aberdeen Barn is one of my favorite restaurants. The steak and baked potato were delicious. I didn’t care for the creamed spinach though, as they use white pepper in it. But, the manager removed it from our bill. The cheese spread and bread/sesame crackers they bring you before your meal are really good. Our waiter even gave us a little more to take home. I love the Aberdeen Barn restaurants in Charlottesville and Williamsburg!

When I am visiting, my go to place to eat is Aberdeen Barn I always love the prime rib in the past but this time is a little off, very bland, I have to ask for Aujus not so sure why it didn’t come with it. Prime rib has a lot of fat, I love fat in it but this time it is over powering, serving changed a lot, kudos to the server as he delivered what I asked for. While it was a storic place, the area sorround it became so scary specially the hotel across. It is shady at its best.

The margarita and the clam appetizer were very good. The prime rib and the lamb chops were very bland. The server was nice, but not very well trained and was not attentive. The wine selection was poor.

Have now been to all the Aberdeen Restaurants in VA. The standards are high and the quality is outstanding in all areas. My car wouldn't start when I left and it was very hot 2 employees came to my distress. Wow, above and beyond. Though I am an out of towner the drive would be worth it again.

Have lived in C’Ville for years but had never been to Aberdeen Barn. The ribeye and prime rib were both exceptionally prepared. The service and server were extremely good and never let my drink hit the bottom of the glass. We will definitely be back again soon.

Aberdeen Barn is one of my favorite places to eat. The waitstaff is kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. My family and I have never had a bad meal there. We love Aberdeen Barn.

Best prime rib - ever! Loved the service, the atmosphere and the overall vibe. Nice selection of great quality food. It is a bit pricey for my routine dining out needs; but you definitely get what you pay for which was a perfectly cooked, expertly seasoned experience. We celebrated a birthday and the birthday girl was treated to a truly scrumptious piece of flourless chocolate torte - with a candle! I would like to see more expansion of sugar-free drink options, but definitely not a deal breaker.

Tucked away on a side street just off Route 29, the Aberdeen Barn is (almost literally) a hidden gem in Charlottesville. This founding location (they are not related to other Aberdeen Barn restaurants, we learned) dates back to 1965 and provides a charming time warp to yesteryear. We were seated at a booth in the lounge area, where dark stained wood and tufted leather booths, lit by a wagon wheel chandelier and red wine bottle windows, provided the coziest of atmospheres. We started with the indulgent Barbecue Shrimp (in a seasoned butter bath that demanded an extra roll) and flavorful Oysters Rockefeller. For entrees, we ordered the Prime Rib and a Ribeye. My only complaint with the Prime Rib was that it was swimming in au jus on the plate. If I ordered that again, I would ask for the au jus on the side. Both of us chose the truly transformative Barn Potatoes to accompany our beef. It seems such a simple presentation, but the extra-crispy russet wedges served with sour cream and bacon bits may be my favorite potato dish ever! We'll be trying to recreate them at home in the future. We also sampled the Creamed Spinach, Onion Rings, and Sauteed Mushrooms, which all merited high praise. Ambience and flavor aside, the evening would not have been nearly as enjoyable were it not for the friendly and attentive staff who saw to our every need. Even packing up the leftovers was managed with great attention! This is an easy recommendation and a place we'll visit again!
