Work on service. Very cold and unfriendly service. Almost ruined it for me. I have been coming to ABA for many years every time I’m in NYC but wish they would get better service. Smile for god sakes and speak up! Thanks!

The food was excellent and the service was very pleasant. My one complaint is that for four people who sat down at 7:30, no drinks, left at 10:15 on a Tuesday night. I’m all for a two hour dinner, except that I really wasn’t in the mood to be out that late on a weekday night. I wish the service would have been quicker to ask if we wanted a check or dessert. I had to literally raise my hand for a server like I am in elementary school to get the final bill for my table.

Genuine Turkish menu. Informal and comfortable. We enjoyed the Lamb Kebob platter and special Hummus. The dessert of Kunnefe which was delicious and original.

Tasty, herby dishes with lots of variety to choose from. Eggplant appetizer and lamb shank were delicious.

We have dined at ABA for several years prior to either Carnegie Hall or Lincoln Center performances. They serve groups of 6 to 8 quickly and friendly. They will write SEPARATE checks for diners on request, almost unheard of in Manhattan’s Midtown area! The restaurant offers a $35 priz doze with appetizer, entree, dessert and Turkish coffee before 7 pm on weekdays. I had the Adonis Kabab, lamb sausage with salad and rice. Appetizer was lentil soup and dessert was pistachio baklava (small up charges for the soup and the baklava). Restaurant was generous with bread for the table and kept refilling it without asking, also a rarity. Others of my friends had their outstanding shepherd’s salad as an appetizer. The menu is very broad and service is fast and friendly.

We had a very good meal. Enjoyed the grilled lamb chops and a large mezze platter. Had butternut squash dessert. All well prepared and served. Well paced meal.
