My wife and I loved this restaurant. The food was fantastic. She had twin whole lobsters which were cooked perfectly. I had the rib eye steak which was just as good as many high end steakhouses. The service was superb led by our waiter , Alejandro. Everyone one was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend.

Perfect as always. Best fish restaurant in Miami (filet mignon is also perfectly executed). Alexandro’s service is rare, the whole team is very friendly and professional. Thank you!

The terrace at the Avalon overlooks Ocean Drive in Miami Beach which includes the multi varied crowd of tourists and natives. Fancy cars, interesting costumes, etc. We were seated at a table above street level so we had a catbird’s seat. Our waiter was welcoming and very knowledgeable. He had good suggestions on both food and wines. As appetizers we had a mediterranean sampler and a burrata dish. The sample has Greek specialities including spanakopita, dolmades, olives, hummus and We chose bouillabaisse which was a special. It was fabulous-like taking a trip to the French Riviera without the travel hassle. There were several kinds of lobster,, shrimp, clams, oysters, mussels, and scallops. The scallops were especially noteworthy because there were tender, not overcooks and delicious. The broth was as good as it gets with the traditional aioli available to add a bit of garlic zing to the broth. Another of our party order the seared tuna which is sesame pepper crusted and rare in the center- perfect for sushi lovers. Another guest had porcini mushroom pasta with a strong wonderful mushroom flavor. Our waiter seconded our wine choice which was reasonably priced and a delicious pouilly fuisse.

We enjoyed everything about the restaurant, but the music. It was live music outside and it was too loud and it made it difficult to talk.

Exceptional seafood! Snapper was the tables favorite. Grouper great too and bang bang shrimp. Key lime pie also delicious! Great drinks, atmosphere, service and location as well. I definitely recommend.

What a wonderful meal and experience! Can’t speak highly enough about the food and the service. The seafood was just about as fresh as possible. Sitting on the porch overlooking Ocean Drive just adds to the experience. It was a great evening. We started at the small bar inside for Happy Hour and Ana took great care mixing wonderful martinis and great conversation! Can’t wait to go back again soon!
