We ate at 801 Chop the night before and was so impressed with the service the food and the ambience that we decided to try their sister restaurant across the street. I had the lobster risotto, which was unbelievable. We also had the lobster fried rice that could’ve been a meal itself. I will be visiting one of the two restaurants the next time I return to St. Louis!!!

Highly recommend the lobster risotto. My husband enjoyed the swordfish. The nightly specials sounded nice as well. Steve, our server, was very good.

Bear was was a great server and did a good job recommending wine. Chef Phil was very nice describing the specials. The red snapper special was awesome. Great experience and we will be back!

The food was not that tasty, the next day I had very strong stomach pains, the food was not digested properly, an unpleasant experience

I love this place. It is so lovely, and the food is awesome. Would recommend for anyone looking for yummy food in a classy environment.

801-Fish provided a perfect dining experience for old friends to get together. This was the first time visit for our friends; second for us within 2 weeks. The food is outstanding, prepared from scratch, using fresh ingredients and quality ingredients. Servers both times were outstanding. They use the perfect balance of excellent service and attention without hovering. We were greeted with warmth and respect. Ambience is beautiful and upscale. We dined indoors, and early therefore noise level wasn’t an issue. All of us look forward to our next meal at 801-Fish.

Went for our 17 year wedding anniversary. The oysters were delicious. Everything else was disappointing. We each ordered a special. Both came soaked in overpowering tomato sauces. Our server was extremely friendly and congratulatory to the couple behind us, whose anniversary it was as well. He seemed annoyed to deal with us and didn’t acknowledge our anniversary (we told them when we booked and were handed anniversary menus) until the end of our meal when I said “actually it’s our anniversary too” to which he promptly replied “I know” then walked away. Overall a big let down, especially after all the hype.

Desserts were amazing. My scallops came with popcorn, which was new. Not sure I loved it. Service was ok. Not bad, not great.
