Each time I visit 80 Thoreau I'm reminded why it's one of my favorite restaurants. I participated in their special Tomato and Corn tasting menu, featuring the best of the local harvest. It was spectacular. Most surprising was the tomato galette, which was subtly sweet, savory, and fresh. From start to finish the meal was a true showcase for local produce. I also got to sample some dishes from the regular menu. The pork belly was an umami explosion and the duck was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The service is paced well and I never feel rushed. I appreciate how they allow time between courses while at the same time empty plates are whisked away with efficiency. I'll go back again and again.

The food is always great here. Never a bad meal. However the corn and tomato tasting menu was likely the best meal we have ever had here (been dining here since Vince and Ian opened the restaurant years ago). Cocktails are creative.

80 Thoreau occasionally has a special, seasonal Pris fixe menu. We went for the fall “Tomato and Corn” menu. It was creative and delicious. Started with a salad featuring tomatoes and corn, second course was a corn soup, the entree was perfectly cooked swordfish with a tomato and corn relish. We always enjoy these seasonal special menus, and were not disappointed this time!

Hadn’t been at 80 Thoreau for Years . We were pleasantly surprised and very appreciative of the service . The food was very good, the service excellent. Wonderful evening to celebrate our anniversary . Will definitely go back again .

80 Thoreau never fails to provide the highest quality in dining experiences. The food is always great and the staff is always professional but never “stuffy”. It is our favorite restaurant!
