Really disappointing... Unfortunately, that was our go to restaurant for the past 5 years, even with the 40 min drive, we were always going to 80 thoreau for all our occasion BUT this last visit was such a disappointment that we will no longer come to concord to enjoy a meal. Food was just okay, the lobster and the pork belly were good but size of the plate was pretty small for the cost. The lamb plate was bad. Lamb was dry, taste was strong, more like sheep that lamb... The duck was good but for the price you are expecting a full breast not a half one. We got our reservation for 7.30pm and half of the menu was already sold out, no more monkfish, no more scallop, finally had to make a choice so took the butternut who was so small and was like easting a small soup, not really tasty and again for the $$ such a disappointment. So this was a goodbye visit.

We had a lovely dinner last evening at 80 Thoreau: we arrived early and had asked for as quiet a table as possible on a Saturday evening and the hostess sat us in a lovely and quiet corner! The menu and wine list were limited but varied and offered the option to try something different and delicious!

Neat setting in an old train depot. Food was excellent - pork belly, tuna, duck, scallops, fig galette. High quality food, delicious flavors. Service was excellent. Will return for sure

The food was great, the seasonal cocktail I ordered was delicious and I loved the idea of Medium Plates for portion control. What a great idea. We will be back.

Excellent service, especially from the very busy bartender who made time to run over and take our cocktail order while we were waiting to be seated. Lovely atmosphere, perfect food. We enjoyed the window seat.

Service was horrible. Slow and inattentive Apologies for terrible service mean nothing. I didn’t get a discount on my meal so don’t give terrible service

The quality and uniqueness of the food at 80 Thoreau is exceptional---exceeds that of any other restaurant in the Western suburbs of Boston in our opinion, over a 10 year period of our dining there. The monkfish and gnocci entrees were truly superb. My one criticism is that with the new menu format of small, medium and large items, the price of the large items is considerably higher than those entrees were on the old menu. This may influence us to dine at 80 Thoreau less often.
