We were seated promptly when arriving for our reservation and our server was immediately present. She was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and made some excellent recommendations for us. The ambience of the restaurant was great. It was very lively with lots of energy and laughter, but quiet enough to allow for great table conversations. I have always had a great experience dining at this restaurant and would highly recommend it

626 on Rood is possibly the highest end restaurant in Grand Junction currently. The food is imaginative and tasty, and local sourcing is used where possible. The wine list is the most extensive in town, albeit with a significant price markup. The noise level inside from music and loud conversations at other tables is high (OpenTable, it is not "energetic," it is loud); we try to dine outside there when possible. 626 on Rood is the place to go for a special date, but it is not quiet. This is not the place to go for cheap big servings of routine food and cheap drinks.

If I were to sum up my feelings and experience about 626, it would be “it’s enough to make us move here!” We are visiting and had such a great experience. Our hostess was friendly and kept us in water, from the excellent service from Angie and our cocktails/wine…… Then came the prepared with love food. Really excellent food! Layered flavors! Thank you for having us! Loved my dessert-fresh peaches for mine. My partner felt the same as I did on our evening : we loved it. We ate ALL the things!

Nice quiet restaurant that caters to those into wine. Meal was good (elk and wyagu meat balls) wait staff was attentive. Overall a good experience.

My experience was so bad Was my husband birthday and the server bring a empty bottle of wine with flowers in it said we don’t do anything for birthdays happy birthday what the f really I’m spend more then to f bday in that restaurant plus our food takes like 45 min to arrive lol really this sound like a joke but not this happens to me and is really frustrating because my tap was for like 300 dll went the manager release that I was writing a review she came to our table with a dessert the one I send back 😞 really she apologized and try to cover what her server already done under her management wow

Thank you for the review. While it’s true we did not meet your expectations of a free birthday dessert, your server meant no disrespect by bringing fresh flowers to your table. And neither did our manager, realizing that you were not happy, had the kitchen fire a crème brûlée for you. She had no idea you were already writing your review; she only was making an honest attempt to accommodate an unhappy guest. As for the time it took for your entrees, your party ordered a first course, which took a little over 15 minutes to be served. After that course was served, your party then ordered the entrées. This second course took about 20 minutes to be served. With two courses ordered like this, and cooking everything to order, 45 minutes sounds about right.
