We have dined here several times. Last night was not as impressive as the first two or three times we were there. My fiancé is gluten and dairy allergic and they're just aren't enough options on the menu for a price point this high. There are comparable restaurants in Grand Junction that literally charge half the price.

We usually get high marks for communicating which menu items can be modified on the fly to accommodate gluten and dairy free requests. And there are number of small and large plate there are easily adapted to a gluten and dairy free diet. Just wo examples are the Prime Angus Flatiron Steak Salad ($38) and the Roasted Beet Carpaccio ($12). Obviously, we dropped the ball the other night, and I apologize for that. Angie was our server that evening! Always fabulous! Hospitality! Duck salad my forever favorite! But waygu beef hamburger, osso bucco, Chilean bass all wonderful dishes at our table cooked to perfection! Consistent over the top hospitality! ❤️😊

Highly recommend! Great food and service! Sat outside and it was much quieter than the inside dining. Escargot was delicious, along with the Beet Carpaccio

UPDATE: Thanks to Theo for the thoughtful feedback, he looked into our review, and responded to what we experienced. He also made it right, as a great owner of any solid business would do. I commend him, and we look forward to giving 626 another chance. We had the Monkfish and the Burger, everyone felt like these were disappointing dishes, they were very much so lacking seasoning. From the high reviews, we expected more, 626 simply did not deliver. Most disappointing was the service, as our server disappeared mid service, and the staff was slow to fill in. No one communicate it would take longer, etc.. As a result, the food took forever, and we did not even get the drinks we asked for. People next to us did not get their drinks as well. Again, expect more from a higher end restaurant. Overall, maybe we got a good restaurant on a bad night, but we will not be taking another chance.

Thank you for your review. I sincerely apologize for the poor dining experience you and your family experienced. It was indeed a difficult evening for us. The server that greeted you and took your order suddenly became very ill and had to leave immediately. This was in the middle of a very busy Saturday night. While we worked to make sure that all the server’s guests were taken care of, we obviously missed several bar orders, including your drinks. And the timing of orders to the kitchen also fell off, as it took time to identify what needed to be done. This place was really good. The service was excellent, our server was able to make suggestions and really knew the menu well. The chef delivered our meal. We had excellent food. We were only visiting, but I would really love to go there again . we chose this place because it had plenty of vegan options.

We had a lovely dinner at 626 on Rood. The filet was tough. Not enough non-plant based options for us meat eaters.

Thank you for the review. If we had known that you were not satisfied with your filet while you were here, we would have taken care of it immediately. We source our premium Black Angus, center-cut filets only from Creekstone Farms. However, not every single filet can be perfect, and we would have made it right by you. While we do offer creative plant-based options, our carnivore options always include the 6oz Blank Angus Tenderloin, an 8oz Prime Black Angus Flatiron Steak, and an 8oz Wagyu Bourbon Bacon Burger. This month, Elk-Wagyu Meatballs with Espresso Manchego Sauce are on our "popup" menu, and Colorado Wagyu "Osso Bucco" is on the October "popup" menu.
