We had people in from out of town, and Ray was our server. One person had wings with no sauce, and she was really pleased with them (done sous vide!). She was concerned they wouldn't be crispy enough, but they indeed were. Two of us had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked, and both were well pleased. I chose the duck (I love duck anyway) because it came with the crispy brussels sprouts. I loved the little spray of shredded carrots, and the mashed potatoes were lovely. They always do duck here so well! Of course the brussels sprouts were delicious; the only thing that could have improved was if there had been MORE of them. I was sad to say goodbye to my favorite server at 622: Alex. We wish him well in the Big City!

Food and atmosphere are the best, within 25 miles of Blacksburg. Service from our favorite waiter, Ray, always makes the entire experience outstanding

The wine selection is fantastic. Our chicken wing appetizer was delish. My Chicken Cordon Bleu was very over cooked, unseasoned and dry, and I asked for no onion, and my vegetable plate was covered in them. My husband had duck. The duck was chewy and not to his liking. The Brussel sprays were black not roasted. The hit was the mashed potatoes. Very good and the only thing we enjoyed on our entrees. Carrot cake was dry.

Excellent first experience while in town to visit Virginia Tech with my son! Food was fabulous with very hearty portions - loved the loaded potatoes appetizer. Our waiter Alex was wonderful and the restaurant was extremely accommodating in managing peanut / treenut allergies for us. I flagged the allergies on our reservation and the general manager was kind enough to call me to reassure me of their meticulous practices in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination. Love this place!

As always, our server, Brittany, was efficient and friendly. I have remarked about the lacklustre breakfast potatoes, and was hoping with a new breakfast chef, they would have been changed to something better. Nevertheless, my companion's Southwest Scramble, and my 'big breakfast' sunny side up eggs were delicious. So was my 'Virgin Mary'. Not too busy this morning - the students are gone. Highly recommend for a brunch.
