    I had requested the terrace as I had heard that it was a beautiful place to sit. My reservation was for the terrace and I wasn’t notified that it would be closed. So I was a little disappointed in that. As I likely would not have gone if I had known. Meal was so so nothing special. I had the smoked salmon sandwich with a couple of onion rings. We were told in a rather unfriendly manner that there was a reservation for our table. Looked at the time and there was still 45 min before the next reservation. ?? We were clearly done and just we’re sipping on the last of our coffee

    Lunch was delicious as expected. Our waiter was so pleasant, and very knowledgeable. I would return anytime, and try more delicious offerings on the menu. Would like to come back and dine on the beautiful Patio.

    We were greeted warmly by Doug upon entrance. Unfortunately it was raining and we could not experience the terrace but Dale kindly gave us a tour of the spectacular terrace. ❤️ we were seated in an exquisite room with such character and view. Our server from Rosenort lovely lady who provided us with top notch service. Extremely accommodating with our food choices and sharing between three of us. The food was delish and made your pallet go “wow”. Love the blackened cod! Thank you so much for a memorable lunch!! 🩷

    Do not even have to add salt at the tabel. Came out perfectly seasoned and tempatured.

    We’re not from Winnipeg which is why our review is not as high, as we know fine dining and steakhouses.. We ordered quite a bit to get a full spectrum: - 2 prawns for $25 that were way over cooked. - 2 scallops for $25 that were way over cooked - cheese bread over cooked - tuna tartare way too much sesame oil (overpowered the rest of the dish) - wild mushrooms for $25 were too salty Highlights: beef Wellington was fantastic, 35$ strawberry daiquiri, French onion soup and pecan pie were spot on. - the other sides were not worth mentioning nor the 22oz bone in. - for experienced servers we expected more. We noticed when explaining the steaks and wagyu special they don’t really say where it’s from, so for the price, it may not be that special. We know our steaks, so if you’re not well versed, this place is acceptable. - water refills weren’t timely - plate clearing was not timely. - we could hear every conversation around us. We won’t return next time in town

    My husband and I had a stellar experience at 529 on August 15, 2024, celebrating our wedding anniversary. Our server, Danny, was personable and attentive. It was a fantastic evening with superb steak, wild mushrooms and a delicious dessert: chocolate lava cake served with ice cream!! Tres bien experience! Thank you. Margaret & Darryl

    Blackened chicken sandwich was delicious. Huge portion. Fish soup (special of the day) was excellent. Rueben sandwich very tasty. Noticed a problem with the Rueben at the end and the server (Dean) went beyond generous to address the issue. Terrace was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Thank you for providing consistently excellent food and service.
