The beautifully restored historic mansion offers intimate dining in 8 elegantly appointed rooms, as well as a beautiful 2-tiered riverside terrace for alfresco dining. 529 serves exclusively Prime Beef, the best available in Canada, as well as fresh fish and seafood. The restaurant is proud to offer Manitoba’s highest rated wine list, Wine Spectator Magazine’s Best of Award of Excellence since 2004. Please note: 529 Wellington is a two-storied building without an elevator. Please indicate if there are any mobility issues for any diners in the party.

    Our waiter was fabulous! Al (Allan?) was courteous, helpful and funny - we all enjoyed the service. Food is always excellent but too full to try the desserts this time. Glad to have been moved into restaurant due to wasps on the terrace but it sure is a beautiful spot and look forward to visiting it earlier in the season next year.

    I had requested the terrace as I had heard that it was a beautiful place to sit. My reservation was for the terrace and I wasn’t notified that it would be closed. So I was a little disappointed in that. As I likely would not have gone if I had known. Meal was so so nothing special. I had the smoked salmon sandwich with a couple of onion rings. We were told in a rather unfriendly manner that there was a reservation for our table. Looked at the time and there was still 45 min before the next reservation. ?? We were clearly done and just we’re sipping on the last of our coffee

    Lunch was delicious as expected. Our waiter was so pleasant, and very knowledgeable. I would return anytime, and try more delicious offerings on the menu. Would like to come back and dine on the beautiful Patio.

    We were greeted warmly by Doug upon entrance. Unfortunately it was raining and we could not experience the terrace but Dale kindly gave us a tour of the spectacular terrace. ❤️ we were seated in an exquisite room with such character and view. Our server from Rosenort lovely lady who provided us with top notch service. Extremely accommodating with our food choices and sharing between three of us. The food was delish and made your pallet go “wow”. Love the blackened cod! Thank you so much for a memorable lunch!! 🩷

    We had a wonderful lunch and an enjoyable visit. Fish and chips were as good as always....hot, lightly battered and melt in your mouth. The fries are divine. The hot chicken sandwich is huge and to die for. Many thanks for the fantastic food and service.
