   We dined on salmon, tuna and some of the tastiest scallops I’ve ever had. Excellent restaurant!

   Went here to celebrate my dad’s 69th birthday, booth was nice, restaurant quiet! My husband and I traveled from OBX… and had to make babysitter arrangements for our 4 kids. We don’t get out much, so when we do we’re very excited about it. The food was great, i really enjoyed everything especially the tuna app! However, the server Barbara was apparently going through some personal things that she brought with her to the table. She had a terrible attitude right out of the gate, for no apparent reason. Little did she know, she was waiting on a table full of servers minus the grand parents. She did not explain anything about the menu, when we asked what the fish of the day was she sarcastically snickered and said ‘psh we don’t have a fish of the day’ i said okay well what’s the fish that goes with the TACOS and FISH & chips?! She told us. The second issue, she asked if we were ready to order entrees… we kindly let her know that we were going to wait until the app’s came she again… snickered and was like hm okay well if that’s what you want. All and all…. Her attitude was horrible, we made the best of it as we were all together celebrating our dad. But i would let her know, to get another job that doesn’t require speaking to people.

   Unsatisfactory. We arrived at 5:45 with a 6pm reservation. We were immediately seated at table 37. Our server came to the table a few minutes later and took our order. We asked for water with lemon slices, but I had to ask for the lemon slices two more times before we received them. I ordered the Cowboy soup, which was very good and brought to the table around 10 minutes later but without a spoon. Around 6:20, our server brought us a dinner roll and butter. At 6:35, our server told us our dinner would be out “shortly”. At 6:45, she stated the same thing. We were 1 of four tables of patrons that had tickets to a play that started at 7:30. A few minutes before 7, one of these groups of patrons, who also had not been served their dinner, AND were in the restaurant when we were seated, got up to leave for the play. As they were looking for the server to pay for their drinks, we decided to also leave, and I was looking for someone I could pay for the soup. As our server is now trying to get me a bill, it is now 7pm, and a manager is bringing our dinner. I told them that we ordered over an hour ago, we did not have time for this dinner, and we were leaving for the theater. Another manager then stated that we could eat and still make the show. As it was, we walked to the theater and after standing in line to get in, we got to our seats at 7:17. Hardly time to eat the meals. We do not dine in Norfolk unless we are going to the theater or attend another event. We will not be returning to 456 Fish.

   Not our first choice of tables but ended well !!! Server , Sid was exceptional.

   Great as always. We typically sit in the bar area to enjoy happy hour. We loved the new menu. All of us (4) tried the new items on the regular menu and everyone's was excellent. Great idea 456, made our visit even more enjoyable , if possible. See you soon, Kim Cross

   the service and food at 456 fish was great ! The dishes on the menu were inventive, presented fabulously and delicious. Everything we ordered from drinks to dessert came out quickly and we were able to get to our show. Great location too ! We'll be back !

    We love the new change!!! The food was delicious and service was great! Appetizers were flavorful good portions (calamari, oysters, fries) Salads were perfect size and nicely season (our table enjoyed 3 different ones)- meals were spot on (Scallop, Fish tacos Fish and chips, and grilled fish Florentine sauce) Looking forward to bringing more friends and ordering other delicious sounding menu items!
