Best Happy Hour in Norfolk seven days a week at the bar and lounge till 6pm. Our heated patio is a great place to enjoy a drink and take in the downtown scene. Located next door to The Scope arena and Chrysler Hall, we are the perfect place to enjoy dinner before going to a show.

The last time I ate here was after my high school graduation in 2009… I want to start by saying I believe my recent poor experience was due to the restaurant not having many patrons. Sounds counterintuitive but will make sense by the end of this post. There were 5 tables currently eating when we sat down. We were our servers second table. He was taking his other tables desert order when we sat. He took our order which was 2 sets of the duck 2 ways, 2 soups and an appetizer. The soups and appetizer were perfect. Then there was an incredibly long wait before the duck came out. In that time (roughly 45 minutes) we NEVER saw our server. He was blipped by Thanos. The duck came out, which was ordered medium, EXTRA super well dumb done. It looked like roast beef. The plate was hot, which makes me think the duck was ready much earlier but sat under the warmer and continued to cook. We had to ask for steak knives to cut through it. Those knives were also requested and provided by another server since ours was still looking for the infinity stones. Well all is fine and dandy until our party of 2 turned into a party of 8-10. I don’t mean additional people but bugs. Crawling on the floor under our table. I had to go to the bar to try and ask the other server for our check when the bartender helped me with the check. She also had the manager or owner come over and address the guests. He offered to take care of the bill but I insisted that wasn’t necessary. We just wanted to pay and leave. I left the server a 30% tip in case he had to pay Tony Stark for helping him time travel.

We met with friends and they had already arrived. We were seated in a lovely booth. The restaurant was clean and it had a great atmosphere. Everything was delicious but the only disappointment was the the Rockfish with spinach had way too much sauce florentino. We just picked around the sauce. We had ordered the fried Oyster appetizer ad it was excellent. We will return to the restaurant soon.

The restaurant atmosphere and staff were very friendly and inviting. The service was great. We didn't have to wait long for anything. We both ordered the rockfish florentine, which was perfectly cooked. My only complaint would be that the serving size is small, but other than that, our experience was excellent. We will definitely come back again.

Service was good. Fried Oysters are not suggested. Rockfish dish was excellent. Salmon was well spiced and seared well.

We waited 1.5 hours for entrees only. Service was very slow and poor. This restaurant has gone down from previous years. We didn’t even receive water. We will not be returning. Too many other restaurants to choose from in Norfolk. Look elsewhere.
