We had a great dinner. The Beef Wellington was superb. Our server, Peter, was awesome. He treated us like we were his only table. Great job by everyone!

We had a great experience overall. The drinks, food , service and atmosphere were just what we wanted. Oysters and clams were so fresh and cold. Delicious

The specials for restaurant group were fantastic. We had the autumn soup (wow with crab- it was soooo delicious!) and Waldorf salad(also absolutely fantastic - we shared it and can’t wait to get it again soon!) Beef Wellington was cooked perfectly/ the pastry was delightful (the server said it came with mashed potatoes but honestly- a spoon full (seriously/ and I’m talking a half a teaspoon) does not constitute a side on a plate- I even asked our server before hand and he said we didn’t need to order any sides- that was wrong!) hubby got the pan seared halibut which he described as deliciously flavorful- but again- small portion and no sides…-wish we had ordered an extra side) Desserts- we had one of each and they were a lot of richness and lots of flavors- nothing to really please the pallet with/ there was just too much going on with both choices of desserts) The real disappointment was where we were seated. It was a Monday night and the place was not crowded. We were seated in their “extra” room that was tented with plastic. It was cold. It was windy. They turned up the heat and it was still cold. I do wish we moved but hubby did not want to make a fuss.There were only three tables out there and guess what? We were seated close together and could hear each others conversations. Not what you want when you have a date night. We had to move our table twice away from the plastic because it was windy and kept hitting our table. I don’t think I would go back. The place rocks during the summer which keeps us away because I’m certain we could not hold a conversation and in off season- it would be great to have a nice, quiet, delicious dining experience for a special occasion.

Everything was perfect. The staff, the food, the ambience. This was our first time here (we are from out of state) and couldn’t have chosen a better place to eat! Steak was cooked PERFECTLY to my husband and I’s likings (different reds) the creamed spinach and potatoes gratin were our sides chosen. We also had the pork belly to start and omg was it good!

We were seated promptly at our time of reservation. The waiter was cordial and engaging in our questions about Newport (we are tourists to the city). During the meal he was attentive, but never intrusive. The food was excellent! We started with Waldorf salads. The halibut was a creative, I believe Spanish inspired, recipe which make the use of tomato sauce with meatballs seem the improbable combination, as this dish was so well prepared. Fish was flakey and the couscous was firm. The tanginess of the tomato sauce complemented the natural sweetness of the halibut. Wines were reasonably priced. Desert was an apple bread, to which we added vanilla ice cream. Light enough to not overpower the meal. We will certainly return when back in Newport. Location is right in the center of the wharf area.

Food was amazing. The French onion burger lives up to the hype and the pork belly appetizer was *chefs kiss*. Great service from our server Ryan, especially accommodating our little one.
