Please note reservations are only available for the main dining room. The lounge and bar areas are first come first serve.

Housed in a historic 19th century townhouse blocks from the waterfront, 219 Restaurant offers modern Southern cuisine with creole influence. Our menu focuses on classic dishes with a southern influence to make for an exceptional dining experience.

We offer private dining rooms in addition to our elegant main floor and offer pre-fixed banquet menus suitable for any event. After your meal, you can unwind in our spacious second story Basin St. Lounge, and be entertained by world class blues/jazz music - seven nights a week - or head downstairs to our Bayou Room, for live DJs and dancing.

Nice service but limited food choice and just ok food. Salad great. Shrimp and grits not hot enough and shrimp had a freezer burn texture.

We visited for the first time for restaurant week. The seafood gumbo , entrees and dessert we had were all excellent and our server was great. We plan to come back!

219 is a long standing Cajun restaurant. Always a delight and too long between trips. We share an appetizer of a GIANT pretzle with beer cheese. I had the Gulf shrimp creole and my wife had the NOLA shrimp and grits. Both were great. For desert we shared a chocolate mouse cake.

I'm not sure a reservation is really necessary so much as getting there early is. No one asks if you have a reservation. We just grabbed seats along the bar wall. I cannot remember our waiter he was an older white bald guy and he made the experience so fun. Guided us aling in our first cigar experience he was super friendly, funny and welcoming. The food was not giving NOLA. That was a disappointment. The band was fun and entertaining. Definitely a good time and had a blast for my birthday.

The food was great Ambiance was nice the live band made my night they're there every Sunday 9:00 p.m. I'll be back next Sunday to watch the band with friends

The fried oysters were very delicious and the salmon with orzo and brussel sprouts were excellent choices. Also, the shrimp and grits were delicious. I do recommend explaining the grits and the spice level for the dish.

I took my dad here for dinner for his birthday. Our reservation was at 5pm. There was only one party there and they were wrapping up. Our server was extremely nice and helpful. I ordered the gumbo yaya and she crab soup, both were delicious. My dad had the Atlantic Salmon
