This is our second time coming here. Absolutely love the atmosphere it’s so charming. The food is so delicious we highly recommend. The restaurant was so accommodating switching our reservations to a hour earlier do to the weather.

Beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious and the Al Capone martini was excellent! I would go back just for that. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable and the service was excellent. The specialty biscuits they serve are delicious! It was a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived until we had to leave.

Each of our meals was DELICIOUS. Our server Joe was great. Definitely a place to go back to!

The food did not meet our expectations given the price point. I ordered the daily special $50 and did not delivered.

As a local. 1790 is a best kept secret. Great menu in a unique space.

Absolutely outstanding!! Even on a Monday evening, this restaurant was busy and we enjoyed the selection of piano music by Christopher. Our server Ernie was one of the best we’ve ever had - kind, friendly, informative, professional and warm and welcoming. His “strategies” and tips to make the most of the menu’s best were so appreciated as we tried items we would not have normally selected. The peach martini, She Crab Soup, Fried Green Tomatoes (the relish!!), Chicken Boursin, and bread pudding were delicious. We will be back every time we visit Savannah!

The experience was perfect from Start to finish… The atmosphere set the tone for dinner. There was a piano player playing. Our server was fabulous! Food was perfect!! Best place we have dined on this trip..

The food was outstanding and the restaurant is a great place for a romantic dinner. However I was very disappointed that my special request for my wife's birthday was not included. Under special occasion I wrote wife's birthday and under special request I wrote, small birthday pastry. Not only did the waitress not know it was my wife's birthday, we were offered a slice of pecan pie.

This is a really neat place. It was not what I expected but I loved it. The restaurant has a very unique ambience that adds to its character. The food was very good and nicely priced. My wife and I shared a salad and the escargot. Both were very good. The restaurant serves a frosted bread that was also very good. Our entrees were sauteed shrimp and the lamb shank. Both were large portions and we took some home. We also enjoyed some modestly priced wine. I appreciate wine that is fairly priced. The service was very good. Scott was our server but the staff does a good job of assisting each other. Finally, the ambience was enhanced by the piano player who was perfect. All in all it was a nice experience and we will be back. By the way, parking at the restaurant is minimal but there is plenty of on street parking close by.
