                              We went for the first time for an anniversary dinner. It was an elegant evening. The space was beautiful, quiet, romantic just made for a special evening. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.

                              The finest fine dining in East Hampton. Also the place to go for a quiet dinner with someone special or good friends with whom you want to carry on a conversation without having to raise your voice to be heard.

                              our waiter was top of the line professional , attentive, unobtrusive, timely replenishing to our beverages, the garden and trees with the setting sun and dappled leaves is an oasis in the heart of main st, menu choice will cater to everybody, from seafood caught by the sea, to salad from the farm, and sm but good choice of meat.....lamb with risotto were prefect, and the slab of fish in saffron juice was cooked perfectly. Dessert of date cake with ice cream and a generous caramel sauce in a sm creamer was a fine ending to a great feast.

                              Been going to the 1770 House on and off for nearly 50 years. And it’s never been better that it has been over the last year or so. Finally, a sophisticated menu devoid of the same/same dishes you see everywhere. And the room, as it always has been, is cozy and elegant. The food was note perfect—especially the fish dishes (and note that the chef has a deft hand for pork too)—and the service found the right balance between formal and friendly. That said—I miss the tablecloths. It’s too nice a restaurant for placemats!

                              This was our first time visiting the 1770 House and it was an amazing experience! Food was fantastic. Our server Nate was wonderful! Michael, manager, made our experience even more special. Will definitely be back!!

                              Very cute restaurant food was absolutely delicious staff was great too. The oyster mignonette sauce was the best I’ve ever had. The steak and mashed potatoes was also great. Really cool unique spot we loved it.

                              This is one of our all time favorite restaurants. We make it a point of coming any time we are in East Hampton! Food is unique and consistently delicious. Service is impeccable. It is like eating in a warm welcoming dining room. Off season Prix Fixe is a real treat too! Highly recommend.
